CXCR4-CCR5: A couple modulating T cell functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Chemokines and their receptors direct leukocyte migration among blood, lymph and tissues. Evidence has recently accumulated that, besides their chemotactic functions, chemokine receptors are highly versatile players that fine tune immune responses ...

Autosomal Dominant Hyper‐IgE Syndrome Patients Retain IL10‐Producing preTh17‐Cells That Are Activated by Opportunistic Pathogens and Support IgE Production

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
IL‐10 producing CCR6+Th‐cells are central memory T‐cells that express ROR‐γt and differentiate to Th17‐cells via an autocrine loop of STAT3‐activating cytokines (preTh17). STAT3‐deficient AD‐HIES patients lack Th17‐ and Tfh17‐cells but retain preTh17‐ and Th1/17‐cells.

Longer Asthma Duration Is Associated With Elevated Non‐T2 Sputum Biomarkers and Reduced T2 Inflammation in Severe Asthma

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Longer asthma duration is associated with increased airway non‐T2 inflammation and reduced airway and systemic T2 inflammation. Sputum CXCL9 is independently associated with duration and may predict a reduced poor response to anti‐IL‐4Rα therapy. Airway sampling and combined T2 and non‐T2 targeted strategies may be needed in long‐standing asthma. CXCL9,

Immune features of graft‐derived mucosal‐associated invariant T cells predict gastrointestinal graft‐versus‐host disease

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Gastrointestinal acute graft‐versus‐host disease (GI aGVHD) remains a major complication after allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT), and early risk identification and intervention are essential for improving outcomes.

Frequency of polymorphisms of genes coding for HIV-1 co-receptors CCR5 and CCR2 in a Brazilian population

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Infectious Diseases
Entry of human immunodeficiency type 1 virus (HIV-1) into target cells requires both CD4and one of the chemokine receptors. Viruses predominantly use one, or occasionally both, of the major co-receptors CCR5 and CXCR4, although other receptors, including
