Infection of mice with the gastrointestinal nematode Trichuris muris represents a valuable tool to investigate and dissect intestinal immune responses. Resistant mouse strains respond to T. muris infection by mounting a T helper type 2 response. Previous

CD8+ Tissue‐Resident Memory T Cells in Health and Disease
CD8+ TRM cells are at the center of immunity, mediating potent local innate and adaptive immune responses. While TRM cells mediate protective immunity against infections and tumors, they also contribute to pathological inflammation in autoimmune conditions.

ABSTRACT Background Changes in the transcriptome of immune cells are predictive of clinical outcomes. These effects may be surgery‐specific and possibly modulated by glucocorticoids. We investigated the immune response and the impact of dexamethasone on the response in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Methods The transcript levels (n =

Chemokine receptor CXCR3 agonist prevents human T-cell migration in a humanized model of arthritic inflammation [PDF]
The recruitment of T lymphocytes during diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis is regulated by stimulation of the chemokine receptors expressed by these cells.

HIV Transmission and Immunology of the Male Reproductive Tract
ABSTRACT The penile epithelium, encompassing multiple anatomical sites, is the primary location of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) acquisition in heterosexual men. Although the per‐contact risk of penile HIV acquisition is generally low, substantial global discrepancies in HIV prevalence still exist, particularly in low‐income regions.

New‐Onset Vitiligo During Dupilumab Treatment: A Clinical Observation and Literature Review
Dupilumab rarely induces new‐onset vitiligo, even after discontinuation of the drug, potentially through the activation of the Th1/IFN‐γ pathway following IL‐4R blockade. Female sex and the use of topical corticosteroids are associated with improved outcomes, whereas discontinuing dupilumab alone does not ensure repigmentation.

Thymus and Leishmania at the Crossroads: Autoimmunity and Cancer
Conceptual ‘Crossroads Model’ linking Leishmania, thymic infection and immune dysregulation: an integrative model is proposed in which Leishmania infection disrupts thymic architecture and stromal–thymocyte interactions. These alterations converge to promote defective tolerance, increased autoimmune risk and a microenvironment permissive to malignant ...
