A cDC1‐NK/T‐Malignant Cell Circuit Drives Immunogenic Remodeling Under PD‐1 Blockade in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy combined with nivolumab reshapes the gastric cancer tumor microenvironment (TME) and is accompanied by an enrichment of reduced cytotoxicity NK (RC‐NK) cells. Rather than acting as classical cytotoxic effectors, these RC‐NK cells appear to shape the TME by promoting an immunostimulatory circuit that engages adaptive immunity.

KYNU in Gastric Cancer Cells Promotes Tumor Progression by Influencing Macrophage Polarization Via PF4

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
KYNU is upregulated in gastric cancer cells and activates the PI3K/Akt pathway, leading to PF4 secretion. PF4 drives nonclassical macrophage polarization with high expression of S100A8 and MMP7, which promotes tumor proliferation, migration, and invasion while suppressing phagocytosis, thereby accelerating gastric cancer progression.

Peri‐Implantitis and Periodontitis: Biological Convergence, Contextual Divergence

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Periodontal and peri‐implant tissues differ and coincide in many aspects, from the clinical and radiological perspective, including histology, microbiology, and molecular markers. Thus, health and disease may also follow different and similar routes.

Microarray Gene Expression Analysis of Lesional Skin in Canine Vesicular Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (VCLE)

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
Background: Vesicular cutaneous lupus erythematosus (VCLE) is a rare autoimmune disease in dogs and is considered the canine counterpart of human subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE). However, the molecular mechanisms underlying VCLE remain incompletely defined.

The Dual Role of the Gut Microbiota in Cancer Chemoresistance

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 4, August 2026.
Comparison between Microbiota and Cancer therapy. ABSTRACT Chemoresistance is one of the primary reasons that cancer chemotherapy fails to deliver successful treatment outcomes and contributes to poor overall survival rates for patients with cancer. New research has begun to shed light on the effects of the gut microbiome (GM).

Antagonism of the chemokine receptors CXCR3 and CXCR4 reduces the pathology of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

open access: yes, 2008
The definitive version may be found at www.wiley.comChemokines regulate lymphocyte trafficking under physiologic and pathologic conditions. In this study, we have investigated the role of CXCR3 and CXCR4 in the activation of T lymphocytes and their ...

Chemokines in Alzheimer's Disease: Early Defence, Late Damage and the Impact of Sex and Infection

open access: yesBasic &Clinical Pharmacology &Toxicology, Volume 139, Issue 2, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Chemokines constitute a versatile signalling network maintaining homeostasis and glia–neuron communication in the healthy brain but become progressively dysregulated during aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD). This review examines how chemokine systems transition from tightly regulated homeostatic signals to drivers of chronic neuroinflammation

Selective suppression of chemokine receptor CXCR3 expression by interferon-beta1a in multiple sclerosis

open access: yes, 2002
We studied the expression of chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR2, CCR3, CCR5, and CXCR3 on CD4 and CD8 positive T cells, and on CD14 positive monocytes in blood from 10 patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS) at initiation of interferon (IFN)
