Human Lymphocytes with Receptors for IgG

International Archives of Allergy and Applied Immunology, 2009
Human lymphocytes with receptors for IgG (EA-RFC) were detected in peripheral blood by their ability to form rosettes with human erythrocytes sensitized with human (Ripley anti-CD) or rabbit IgG. EA-RFC were shown to be different from T-lymphocytes forming rosettes with sheep erythrocytes (E-RFC), both by direct studies of mixed rosette suspensions and

Cytotoxicity mediated by human Fc receptors for IgG

Immunology Today, 1989
The Fc receptors for IgG(Fc gamma R) play a major role in the removal of antibody-coated infectious agents and may be important molecules for triggering cytotoxicity of tumor cells; they may also serve as an entry for infection of Fc gamma R-bearing cells by viral (including HIV and Dengue), and perhaps other infectious agents.

Studies on the chicken lymphocyte receptor for aggregated IGG

Developmental & Comparative Immunology, 1982
Chicken lymphocytes isolated from different lymphoid organs were analyzed for Fc IgG receptor by binding of heat aggregated IgG (agg IgG) in the indirect immunofluorescence test. The binding of agg IgG was shown to be specific for Fc IgG receptor, since IgM and F(ab')2 fractions were bound to the lymphocytes in a much less degree. The highest frequency

Fc receptor for IgG (FcR) on rat microglia

Journal of Neuroimmunology, 1994
Receptor for IgG (FcR) was demonstrated on rat microglia in vivo and in vitro by immunohistochemical staining with immune complexes of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and rabbit IgG anti-HRP. Astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and neurons did not express FcR.

Demonstration of Cells with IgG Receptor in Human Placenta

Biology of the Neonate, 2009
The presence of two types of cells with IgG surface receptors was demonstrated in mature and immature human placentas. One type corresponded morphologically to the Hofbauer cells and the second to the blood monocytes. Transitional forms between monocytes and Hofbauer cells were also observed.

Phagocyte Fc receptors for IgG

1998
This chapter focuses on the Fc receptors for IgG (FcγR) on phagocytic cells, e.g. polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs), monocytes and macrophages. Eosinophils and basophils/mast cells which also have phagocytic properties are not discussed. PMNs and monocytes circulate in the bloodstream and are derived from pluripotent haematopoietic stem cells in the

Structure and Function of Human and Murine Receptors for IgG

Annual Review of Immunology, 1988
The basic mechanisms by which phagocytes recognize foreign organisms have been known for more than 80 years. In 1903, Wright & Douglas (1) showed that human serum contains heat-stabile and heat-labile factors that bind to the bacteria and thus dramatically enhance the ability of blood phagocytes to ingest Staphylococcus.

IgG Receptors in Alzheimer’s Disease

Science Signaling, 2013
An interaction between the IgG receptor FcγRIIb and β-amyloid contributes to the neuropathology of Alzheimer’s disease.

IgG Fc Receptors: Evolutionary Considerations

2019
Immunoglobulins (Ig), a critical component of the adaptive immune system, are present in all jawed vertebrates and through sophisticated diversification mechanisms are able to recognize antigens of almost infinite diversity. During mammalian evolution, IgG has emerged as the predominant Ig isotype that is elicited upon antigenic challenge, representing

Effect of Levamisole on the Human Monocyte IgG Receptor

The Journal of Immunology, 1977
Abstract Levamisole, an isomer of tetrahydro phenylimidazo thiazole, is a synthetic anti-helminthic which may have immunostimulating properties both in vivo and in vitro (1). Its mode of action is incompletely understood. There is evidence in murine systems that levamisole can increase the phagocytosis of heterologous cells by ...
