Progesterone Receptor in Cystosarcoma Phyllodes

Archives of Surgery, 1977
A specific receptor for progesterone has been found in a cystosarcoma phyllodes, as determined by charcoal adsorption and sucrose gradient analysis. Similar assays for estrogen receptors were negative. The tumor consisted almost entirely of stroma that contained the progesterone receptors.

UTERINE PROGESTERONE AFTER PROGESTERONE TREATMENT: ON THE DISAPPEARANCE OF CYTOSOLIC PROGESTERONE RECEPTORS

Journal of Steroid Biochemistry, 1979
Abstract The effect of progesterone (P) treatment on P receptors and on the resultant P concentrations in the cytoplasm and other subcellular fractions was studied. Cytoplasmic P receptors in the uterus of oestrogenized rabbits were reduced by about 60% after 24 h of single injection of P.

Progesterone Receptor Interaction with Chromatin

2014
Understanding how eukaryotic gene regulation works implies unraveling the mechanisms used by transcription factors to access DNA information packaged in chromatin. The current view is that different cell types express different parts of the genome because they are equipped with different sets of transcription factors.

Progesterone Receptors of Chick Oviduct

1978
The chick oviduct progesterone receptor has been purified to homogeneity by affinity chromatography and its molecular action studied in vitro. The native receptor is a 200,000 MW dimer of two dissimilar 4S subunits with different intranuclear function.

Chaperones in progesterone receptor complexes

Seminars in Cell & Developmental Biology, 2000
Studying the components, pathways, and dynamics of progesterone receptor (PR) assembly with chaperones has provided a highly valuable model system for understanding the coordinate actions of chaperones. Chaperones are primarily adapted to facilitate protein folding processes, and the actions of chaperones toward PR and other steroid receptors probably ...
