Peptide‐directed nanovehicles enabling tumor‐selective ROS amplification and antitumor immunity

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Cancer cells are vulnerable to oxidative stress, yet exploit immune tolerance to escape destruction. In contrast, their metabolic profile is markedly altered to support rapid proliferation, accompanied by elevated production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Association Between Blood Transfusion for Postpartum Haemorrhage and the Risk of Premature Ovarian Failure: A Nationwide Population‐Based Cohort Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the association between postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) severity and the subsequent risk of premature ovarian failure (POF), with blood transfusion used as a marker of severe PPH: Design Nationwide population‐based retrospective cohort study. Setting Korean National Health Insurance Service (KNHIS) database.

5‐Methoxy‐N,N‐dimethyltryptamine (5‐MeO‐DMT) for alcohol use disorder: An open‐label, phase 2, proof‐of‐concept, clinical trial

open access: yesAddiction, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Aims Psychedelic drugs may help treat alcohol use disorder (AUD). This study evaluated BPL‐003, a novel intranasal powder formulation of 5‐methoxy‐N,N‐dimethyltryptamine (5‐MeO‐DMT) benzoate salt, in people with moderate–severe AUD enrolled in a standard of care, 10‐week programme of relapse‐prevention oriented Cognitive ...

Polypropylene Nanoplastic Exposure to Respiratory Epithelial Barrier‐On‐Chip and Interfacial Interactions With Human Serum Albumin

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.

The role of iron in normal and impaired testicular function

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Iron plays a critical role in testicular physiology, impacting spermatogenesis, testosterone production, and overall testicular function. Iron homeostasis is maintained through systemic and cellular regulatory mechanisms, including hepcidin‐mediated systemic iron control and the iron‐responsive element/iron regulatory protein (IRE/IRP) system ...
