BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

A Golgi study on the red nucleus in man.
The different cell types comprising the human red nucleus (RN) from eight patients without neuronal diseases were investigated using the Golgi-Braitenberg method for long-stored autopsy material. No giant cells were found due to regression of the magnicellular part of the human RN. We found larger (40-50 microns) and smaller (30 microns perikaryon size)

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Responses of red nucleus neurons to antidromic and synaptic activation
An account is given of the responses of 432 red nucleus (RN) neurons with axons projecting down the spinal cord. Almost half were in an initial series of 18 experiments on anesthetized cats, and the remainder were in a second series of 12 experiments on

Evidence for reactive synaptogenesis in the ventrolateral thalamus and red nucleus of the rat: changes in high affinity glutamate uptake and numbers of corticofugal fiber terminals [PDF]
High affinity glutamate uptake into corticofugal fiber terminals was measured in the ventrolateral thalamus and red nucleus at varying time intervals after lesions were made by kainic acid in the contralateral interpositus nucleus of the cerebellum in ...
