Age‐related differences in mRNA vaccine immunogenicity and adjuvancy
Older people often respond poorly to mRNA vaccines, with reduced T and B cell responses, but they also bear more morbidity and mortality for infectious diseases. This paper maps age‐related changes in mechanisms of adjuvancy that can shape the immunogenicity of mRNA vaccine in a mouse model. Created in BioRender.

Controlling sap-sucking insect pests with recombinant endophytes expressing plant lectin [PDF]
We developed a novel pest management strategy, which uses endophytes to express anti-pest plant lectins. Fungal endophyte of Chaetomium globosum YY-11 with anti-fungi activities was isolated from rape seedlings, and bacterial endophytes of SJ-10 ...

Phagocytic properties of lung alveolar wall cells [PDF]
For the purpose to define the mechanism of heavy metal intoxication by inhalation, morphologic observations were made on rat lungs after nasal instillation of iron colloid particles of positive and negative electric charges. Histochemical observation was

ABSTRACT Clubroot, a severe soil‐borne disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae, poses a severe threat to global production of Brassicaceae oilseed crops and vegetables. To date, there has been a serious lack of clubroot‐resistant germplasms in Brassica napus (AACC), necessitating the urgent development of novel disease‐resistant germplasm.

Simulating Root Density Dynamics and Nitrogen Uptake -Field Trials and Root Model Approach in Denmark [PDF]
Plant soil and atmosphere models are commonly used to predict crop yield and associated environmental consequences. Such models often include complex modelling of water movement, soil organic matter turnover and above ground plant growth.

Converting simulated total dry matter to fresh marketable yield for field vegetables at a range of nitrogen supply levels [PDF]
Simultaneous analysis of economic and environmental performance of horticultural crop production requires qualified assumptions on the effect of management options, and particularly of nitrogen (N) fertilisation, on the net returns of the farm.

Abstract Commercial row crop production in the midsouthern United States is characterized by extensive application of inorganic soil inputs and management practices that contribute to degraded soil health. This study was conducted to determine if cover crops affect spatial or temporal changes in soil chemical properties in a raised, stale seedbed ...

Sunflower Interseeding Trial [PDF]
Sunflower, a relatively new crop for Vermont, has the potential to add value to a farm operation in the form of fuel, feed, food, and fertilizer. However, pest pressures, including weed competition, have limited the yield potential of Vermont sunflower ...
