Color myth: anthocyanins reactions and enological approaches achieving their stabilization in the aging process of red wine

open access: yesFood Innovation and Advances, 2023
Color is a crucial sensory indicator of wine quality. However, changes in anthocyanin concentration and profile occur during wine aging, resulting in noticeable reductions in chroma and shifts in hue from purple to brick red.

Chemometric Characterization of Slovenian Red Wines

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica, 2017
Total phenolic (TPC), flavonoid (TFC) and tannin (TTC) contents, total SO2, total acids, pH, and reducing sugars were measured in twenty five Slovenian red wines from three key wine producing regions, Podravje, Posavje and Primorska. The results were chemometrically analysed and the wines were classified according to wine growing region and vine ...

Engineering Energy Harvesting Pathways in Mn‐Yb‐Doped Perovskite Nanocrystals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Mn‐Yb codoping in metal halide perovskite nanocrystals establishes dual‐channel energy reservoirs that capture charge carriers and drip‐feed them back to the host on millisecond timescales. This synergistic recycling mechanism overcomes prompt nanosecond recombination limitations, enabling an eight‐fold enhancement in photocatalytic CO2 reduction ...

Cyclodextrin‐Functionalized Light‐Driven Cu2O Micromotors for Simultaneous Capture and Degradation of Bisphenol A

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Fuel‐free Cu2O‐based micromotors functionalized with β‐cyclodextrin actively remove bisphenol A from water under visible light. The cyclodextrin shell captures BPA and enhances micromotor motility, leading to faster degradation and higher overall removal than nonfunctionalized Cu2O and Cu2O@Au.

Nicotinamide riboside and pterostilbene reduces markers of hepatic inflammation in NAFLD: A double‐blind, placebo‐controlled clinical trial

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
NRPT 1X reduces ALT and ceramide 14:0 in 65% of subjects as compared to only 28% in the placebo group. Abstract Background and Aims The prevalence of NAFLD is increasing globally and on a path to becoming the most frequent cause of chronic liver disease. Strategies for the prevention and treatment of NAFLD are urgently needed.
