Formic Acid Pursues Efficient Hydrodeoxygenation of Naphthols and Phenolic Derivatives to Arenes
An alternative hydrodeoxygenation of naphthols and phenols using a commercial heterogeneous catalyst, Pd/C, employing formic acid as LOHC is reported. We outline a substrate scope for the HDO of different naphthols and phenols, including pharmaceutically relevant molecules such as amylmetacresol and thymol.

Dehalogenation of organic compounds by reductive radicals [PDF]
-Radiolysis and measurements of halide ions by means of ion chromatography have been employed to investigate reductive dehalogenation of chloro-, bromo-, and iodophenols, halogenated aliphatic compounds and 5-bromouracil by carbon-centred radicals, •CH(CH3)OH, •CH2OH, and •CO2, in air-free aqueous solutions in the presence of ethanol, methanol or ...

ABSTRACT Targeted radioligand therapy has emerged as a promising treatment option for eradicating advanced cancer forms. α‐Emitters are considered particularly promising as they can obliterate (micro)‐metastases. The α‐emitter astatine‐211 (211At) has experienced increased interest due to its favorable decay properties.

Multiple Dual C−Cl Isotope Patterns Associated with Reductive Dechlorination of Tetrachloroethene [PDF]
Dual isotope slopes are increasingly used to identify transformation pathways of contaminants. We investigated if reductive dechlorination of tetrachloroethene (PCE) by consortia containing bacteria with different reductive dehalogenases (rdhA) genes can
