Effects of Selenocysteine Substitution on the Cyclotide Kalata B2
Selenocysteine (Sec) substitution of any of the native complementary cysteine (Cys) residues of the cyclotide kalata B2 preserves the structure, cytotoxicity, and membrane‐binding activity while enhancing its folding efficiency. The study shows the conservative nature and folding benefit of selenocysteine replacement in kalata B2.

Targeting the Relaxin Pathway for Liver Disease Treatment [PDF]
Hepatic fibrosis is a progressive disease with few treatment options outside of transplantation. Relaxin is a member of the insulin/relaxin superfamily of peptide hormones. Originally known for its roles in pregnancy, relaxin promotes reproductive tissue

Relaxin Enhances Bone Regeneration with BMP-2-Loaded Hydroxyapatite Microspheres
Our aims were to 1) evaluate the capacity of hollow hydroxyapatite (HA) microspheres (212–250 μm) to serve as a delivery system for controlled release of BMP-2 in vitro and 2) examine relaxin as an enhancer of BMP-2 for bone regeneration.

Purpose To evaluate whether systemic estrogen‐only, progestin‐only, or combined hormonal contraceptives (HCs) are associated with increased risk of shoulder pathologies in reproductive‐age females. Methods A retrospective cohort study of female patients presenting to clinic from 2013 to 2020 and aged 13‐50 with 5 years of follow‐up was conducted using ...

Relaxin 2 – a pregnancy hormone involved in the process of carcinogenesis
Relaxin 2 is a polypeptide hormone structurally related to insulin and insulin-like growth factors (IGFs). However it does not interact with insulin receptors and has a decidedly different biological properties. Relaxin 2 activates LGR 7 and LGR 8 relaxin receptors, that belong to the leucine-rich repeat-containing (LRR), G protein-coupled receptors ...

Discovery of small molecule agonists of the Relaxin Family Peptide Receptor 2
Specific small molecule RXFP2 agonists with favorable pharmacokinetic properties induce gubernacular invagination in mouse embryos, increase mineralization activity in human osteoblasts in vitro, and improve bone trabecular parameters in adult mice.

Integrative genetic, single‐cell, and perturbation analyses identify CSF1R as a macrophage‐centered immunometabolic signaling hub linking iron dysregulation to osteoarthritis. CSF1R‐driven monocyte–macrophage remodeling may coordinate immune activation, extracellular matrix remodeling, and cartilage degeneration, providing a potential therapeutic ...

Age‐Associated Four‐Gene Prognostic Signature in Breast Cancer
ABSTRACT Background Young‐onset breast cancer is associated with inferior disease‐free survival (DFS), but the contribution of additional molecular heterogeneity remains unclear. Aims To identify an exploratory age‐associated gene expression signature linked to recurrence‐related outcomes and evaluate its prognostic association.
