THE INFLUENCE OF TISSUE ANGIOTENSINS ON ELEMENTS OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM (LECTURE)

open access: yesБайкальский медицинский журнал
Relevance. The renin-angiotensin system is today one of the oldest and most studied peptide cascades. Understanding the operation of this system is an urgent task for study in medical higher education institutions.

Atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) and renin-aldosterone in volume regulation of patients with cirrhosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
The role of the atrial natriuretic factor and of the main counteracting sodium-retaining principle, the renin-aldosterone system, in acute volume regulation of cirrhosis of the liver has been investigated.

Atrial natriuretic factor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The discovery of the first well-defined natriuretic hormone, the Atrial Natriuretic Factor (ANF), has prompted research on its impact on volume regulation in health and disease.

Molecular Mechanisms of Kidney Injury and Repair in Arterial Hypertension [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The global burden of chronic kidney disease is rising. The etiologies, heterogeneous, and arterial hypertension, are key factors contributing to the development and progression of chronic kidney disease. Arterial hypertension is induced and maintained by

4‐Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol Mitigates Hyperlipidemia‐Associated Depression by Inhibiting Neuroinflammation via the NKIRAS2/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4‐HBA upregulates NKIRAS2 levels, inhibiting the activation of the NF‐κB pathway and subsequently reducing the levels of neuroinflammatory markers. This modulation helps restore normal mood and behavior in hyperlipidemic conditions, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for managing hyperlipidemia‐associated depression.

Roles and functions of Atp6ap2 in the brain

open access: yesNeural Regeneration Research, 2018
The classical renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in the body has been studied intensively in the last decades, since it is known that this system is involved in the regulation of blood pressure.

Angiotensinergic innervation of rat and human mesenteric resistant blood vessels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In contrast to the current believe that angiotensin II (Ang II) only interacts with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) as a circulating hormone, we document here the existence of an endogenous renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in the sympathetic coeliac ...

NSUN5 Attenuates Renal Injury and Ferroptosis in Hyperuricaemic Nephropathy Through YBX2‐Dependent Stabilisation of SCD1 m5C Methylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NSUN5 is downregulated in hyperuricaemic nephropathy. Overexpression of NSUN5 enhances the stability of SCD1 mRNA through the m5C reader YBX2, ultimately inhibiting ferroptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. Additionally, this axis suppresses the NF‐κB signaling pathway to alleviate inflammation and upregulates ABCG2 to promote uric acid excretion,

Interaction of renin–angiotensin system and adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase signaling pathway in renal carcinogenesis of uninephrectomized rats

open access: yesTumor Biology, 2017
Renin–angiotensin system and adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase signaling pathway both play important roles in carcinogenesis, but the interplay of renin–angiotensin system and adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase in ...

Acute Kidney Injury in a Case Series of Patients with Confirmed COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019): Role of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2 and Renin-Angiotensin System Blockade

open access: yesCase Reports in Nephrology, 2020
The renin-angiotensin system plays a very critical role in hypertension, diabetes, and kidney and heart diseases. The blockade of the renin-angiotensin system results in the prevention of progression of renal and cardiac damage.
