Role of the RPA-Sgs1 interaction in stabilizing stalled replication forks [PDF]
S phase is the period of the cell cycle when all genomic DNA is copied precisely twice. During this complex process, replication forks frequently encounter obstacles such as tightly bound protein-barriers or are challenged by genotoxic insults creating ...

Quantitative sensing and signalling of single-stranded DNA during the DNA damage response
DNA damage triggers checkpoint signalling mechanisms. Here the authors reveal differential phosphorylation of targets of the Mec1-Ddc2 checkpoint kinase by analyzing the effect of quantitatively different ssDNA signals.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Ciz1 cooperates with cyclin-A-CDK2 to activate mammalian DNA replication in vitro [PDF]
Initiation of mammalian DNA replication can be reconstituted from isolated G1-phase nuclei and cell extracts, supplemented with cyclin-dependent protein kinases (CDKs).

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

The Replication Mechanism in a Romanian ERP System Environment [PDF]
Modern Relational Database Management Systems have Replication technology. Large enterprises are often spread around the country, and although WANs can be very fast and reliable these days, it is often better for each location to have a local copy of ...

Replication of Routines and Capabilities: From Knowledge Transfer to Replication as a Social Practice [PDF]
Replication of routines and capabilities has been largely neglected in recent research. In this paper we present the current state of research on replication and suggest conceptualizing replication as a social practice.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
