A biomimetic hydrogel derived from neonatal spinal cord ECM (DNSCM) delivers LAMB2 protein and ISP peptide to remodel the inhibitory injury microenvironment. The system sustains drug release, upregulates pro‐regenerative LAMB2, downregulates inhibitory CSPG, and promotes axonal regeneration.

Site-directed mutagenesis of thelac repressor protein
The lac repressor-lac operator is considered a model for procaryotic gene regulation. The specificity and strength of lac repressor-operator interactions is not completely understood.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Detection of Protein–Protein Interactions in Escherichia coli With Single Molecule Sensitivity
This article describes a regulatory circuit in Escherichia coli able to detect protein–protein interactions with exquisite sensitivity. The interaction between two hybrid proteins fused to Bordetella pertussis adenylate cyclase and its activator calmodulin triggers a potent cyclic AMP signaling cascade.

ERK‐Mediated Phosphorylation of YAP Defines a Noncanonical FGF Signaling Mechanism in Stem Cells
With a powerful combination of in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro models, the authors highlight a novel FGF‐ERK signaling regulation of YAP at the S128 site in neural crest‐derived stem cells. This study opens exciting new directions in stem cell biology and craniofacial biology, paving the way for potential innovations in the treatment of craniofacial ...

Lac repressor purification without inactivation of DNA binding activity [PDF]
A procedure has been developed which eliminates the commonly observed inactivation of the DNA binding activity of the lac repressor during purification. The operator binding activity of the repressor obtained by this method is 100 ±10%. The repressor can

By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Allostery and assembly oflac repressor protein
Allostery in lac repressor ligand binding is based upon the ability of the protein to assume alternate ligand-bound conformations. The X-ray crystal structures of repressor bound to different ligands indicate the end points of conformational transitions.
