Dynamic analysis of the resonator for resonant accelerometer

open access: yesSensor Review, 2018
PurposeThis paper aims to develop a resonant accelerometer for structure optimization. The dynamic analysis of the resonator for resonant accelerometer are investigated.Design/methodology/approachFirst, the working principle and mechanical model of the resonator are introduced.

Resonant accelerometer with self-test

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2001
A new resonant accelerometer is presented consisting of a doubly clamped beam coupled to a seismic mass. The beam is thermally excited by an implanted resistor and its vibration is sensed piezoresistively. An acceleration which deflects the seismic mass leads to characteristic strains inside the resonator, shifting its resonance frequency.

A high sensitivity uniaxial resonant accelerometer

open access: yes2010 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), 2010
A new micro-machined uniaxial silicon resonant accelerometer characterized by a high sensitivity is presented. The geometrical setting is analytically optimized in order to improve the sensitivity and the linearity of the sensor. The high level of sensitivity is obtained at relatively low quality factors and keeping the dimensions very small, thanks to

A new biaxial silicon resonant micro accelerometer

open access: yes2011 IEEE 24th International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, 2011
A new biaxial silicon resonant accelerometer characterized by a high sensitivity and a low cross-axis sensitivity is presented in this paper. The device allows for the simultaneous measure of acceleration acting along two different axes using two couples of resonating slender beams linked to two couples of flexible beams and to a proof mass.
