Reaction-based dual signaling of fluoride ions by resorufin sulfonates

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2013
We developed new reaction-based probes for the dual signaling of fluoride ions. Selective fluoride-assisted deprotection of resorufin nosylate to generate resorufin fluorochrome was used for signaling. Resorufin nosylate exhibited selective colorimetric and fluorogenic signaling of fluoride ions in acetonitrile.

Theoretical Study of Resorufin Reduction Mechanism by NaBH4

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2014
In the current work, the whole reduction mechanism of resorufin by sodium borohydride (NaBH4) has been investigated completely using quantum chemical theory for the first time. The possible pathways for each step were considered as much as possible.

Dual signaling of hydrazine by selective deprotection of dichlorofluorescein and resorufin acetates

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2013
The highly selective chemosignaling behaviors for hydrazine by a reaction-based probe of dichlorofluorescein and resorufin acetates were investigated. Hydrazinolysis of latent dichlorofluorescein and resorufin acetate fluorochromes caused prominent chromogenic and fluorescent turn-on type signals.

A resorufin-based fluorescent probe for imaging polysulfides in living cells

The Analyst, 2019
Nowadays H2Sn have attracted ever-increasing attention in the field of biomedical research. Herein, we report a resorufin-based “turn-on” probe for H2Sn sensing in vitro and in living cells.

Fluorescence-lifetime-based pH sensing using resorufin

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
Accurate, non-contact pH sensing is of particular importance in the biological and clinical sciences. Fluorescence lifetime based pH sensing is potentially more useful than intensity based methods because of the reduced sensitivity to excitation source intensity variations, scattering effects, and photobleaching.

Oxygen sensing based on the oxidation process in resorufin dye

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2007
Abstract By using the planar laser induced florescence experiment (PLIF), a resorufin (RSRF) dye solution was tested as an oxygen probe. The photoreaction of RSRF dye was investigated and the oxidation process of this fluorescent probe molecule was demonstrated.

Fluorometric determination of hydrogen peroxide using resorufin and peroxidase

Microchemical Journal, 1988
Abstract A fluorometric method for the determination of hydrogen peroxide using resorufin as a substrate for peroxidase is described. Two procedures were developed for the determination of hydrogen peroxide. One involves the addition of hydrogen peroxide sample to a solution of peroxidase and resorufin in phosphate buffer, pH 6.4.

Planar yeast estrogen screen with resorufin-β-d-galactopyranoside as substrate

Journal of Chromatography A, 2017
For the planar yeast estrogen screen (pYES), 4-methylumbelliferyl-β-d-galactopyranoside was generally employed as substrate, delivering blue fluorescing 4-methylumbelliferone after enzymatic cleavage by the YES reporter β-d-galactosidase as the positive signal for the presence of estrogen active compounds (EAC).
