Roles of Rap1 signaling in tumor cell migration and invasion
Ras-associated protein-1 (Rap1), a small GTPase in the Ras-related protein family, is an important regulator of basic cellular functions (e.g., formation and control of cell adhesions and junctions), cellular migration, and polarization.

RhoA and Rac1 in Liver Cancer Cells: Induction of Overexpression Using Mechanical Stimulation
Liver cancer, especially hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), is an aggressive disease with an extremely high mortality rate. Unfortunately, no promising markers are currently available for the early diagnosis of this disease.

Signaling pathways for transduction of the initial message of the glycocode into cellular responses [PDF]
The sugar units of glycan structures store information and establish an alphabet of life. The language of the oligosaccharide coding units is deciphered by receptors such as lectins and the decoded message can be transduced by multiple signaling pathways.

Vav family exchange factors: Potential regulator in atherosclerosis
The Vav family of guanosine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) regulates the phosphorylation of tyrosinase, influencing various physiological and pathological processes by modulating the binding of Rho GTPases to GDP/GTP.

IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.

Characterization of ROP GTPase-activated Arabidopsis receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases (RLCK class VI_A) [PDF]
Plants have to respond and adapt to a variety of continuously changing environmental factors in order to establish an appropriate developmental strategy to ensure survival. There are ample data showing that protein phosphorylation/dephosphorylation plays

Proapoptotic and antiinvasive activity of Rac1 small molecule inhibitors on malignant glioma cells [PDF]
Malignant gliomas are characterized by an intrinsic ability to invade diffusely throughout the normal brain tissue. This feature contributes mainly to the failure of existing therapies. Deregulation of small GTPases signaling, in particular Rac1 activity,
