This study highlights the pharmacological mechanisms of dichloromethane (CHD) and methanol (CHM) extracts of Centaurea lycaonica Boiss. & Heldr. herba as the induction of apoptosis on HeLa cells. Apoptotic properties of CHD and CHM are through suppression of Bcl‐2 and increase in Bax, caspase 9, and 3 activities on HeLa cells.
