Analysis of the Structure of SaHPF Staphylococcus aureus Protein [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Естественные науки, 2016
SaHPF (Staphylococcus aureus hibernation promoting factor) is the ribosome inactivating protein of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. The structure of this protein has been predicted using bioinformatics methods and represented by two domains and a ...

Genetic components associated with R2 and R4 powdery mildew resistance in hop

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Epidemics of powdery mildew disease in hop (Humulus lupulus var. lupulus) lead to cone spoilage, and in severe cases, crop abandonment. In order to prevent disease‐associated yield losses, hop must be treated with an intensive fungicide management program.

The dysregulation of innate immunity by Porphyromonas gingivalis in the etiology of Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 3, Page 328-348, March 2026.
Abstract The etiology of Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains under active debate. In this perspective, we explore the hypothesis that a primarily infection‐caused chronic dysregulation and weakening of human innate immunity via the underexpression, degradation, and inactivation of innate immune proteins necessary for direct antimicrobial effects and ...

The tasiR‐ARF pathway in plants: origin, functions, and interplay of miR‐390, tasiRNAs and ARF3

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 328-344, March 2026.
Trans‐acting small interfering RNAs that silence a subset of Auxin Response Factors are crucial for plant growth, developmental timing, proper organ patterning, and coping with stress. Abstract Trans‐acting small interfering RNA (tasiRNAs) are a special type of endogenous small RNAs (sRNAs) found only in plants.

Interaction between maize ribosome-inactivating protein and ribosomes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Poster Presentation: abstract no. A11Ribosome‐inactivating proteins (RIPs) represent a group of N‐glycosidases which can cleave the N‐glycosidic bond of adenine at 23S and 28S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) of ribosome and subsequently lead to a halt of protein ...

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 600, Issue 3, Page 342-355, February 2026.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Rare DMD Gene Duplication in a Lebanese Child With Duchene Muscular Dystrophy

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT A five‐year‐old boy with clinical features of Duchenne muscular dystrophy was found to have a rare de novo DMD exon 2–9 duplication. Reporting such atypical duplications improves genotype–phenotype interpretation and highlights the need for multidisciplinary care, particularly in resource‐limited settings.
