Supramolecular assemblies involving metal organic ring interactions: Heterometallic Cu(II)-Ln(III) two dimensional coordination polymers [PDF]
Three isostructural two-dimensional coordination polymers of the general formula [Ln2(CuL)3(H2O)9]$5.5H2O, where Ln is La (1), Nd (2), and Gd (3), have been synthesized and isolated from aqueous solutions and their single-crystal structures determined by

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Fine tuning Exo2, a small molecule inhibitor of secretion and retrograde trafficking pathways in mammalian cells [PDF]
The small molecule 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde (5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1]benzothieno[2,3- d]pyrimidin-4-yl)hydrazone (Exo2) stimulates morphological changes at the mammalian Golgi and trans-Golgi network that are virtually indistinguishable from those ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Bis(2,2,2 trifluoroethyl) Phosphonate as a Convenient Precursor for the Synthesis of H-Phosphonates
A microwave-assisted synthesis of dialkyl and cyclic H-phosphonates via bis(2,2,2 trifluoroethyl) phosphonate (BTFEP) is described. This method enables the synthesis of various cyclic H-phosphonates and hetero-substituted dialkyl H-phosphonates by simple

A Review on the Valorization of Macroalgal Wastes for Biomethane Production
The increased use of terrestrial crops for biofuel production and the associated environmental, social and ethical issues have led to a search for alternative biomass materials. Terrestrial crops offer excellent biogas recovery, but compete directly with

Synthesis of Ti(OH)OF ⋅ 0.66 H2O in Imidazolium‐based Ionic Liquids
The influence of the cation of imidazolium‐derived ionic liquids (ILs) on a low‐temperature solution‐based synthesis of hexagonal tungsten bronze (HTB) type Ti(OH)OF ⋅ 0.66 H2O and bronze‐type TiO2(B) is investigated.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
