Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Two-step ATP-driven opening of cohesin head

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
The cohesin ring is a protein complex composed of four core subunits: Smc1A, Smc3, Rad21 and Stag1/2. It is involved in chromosome segregation, DNA repair, chromatin organization and transcription regulation.

Synthesis of Enantiomerically Pure N-Boc-Protected 1,2,3-Triaminopropylphosphonates and 1,2-Diamino-3-Hydroxypropylphosphonates

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
All possible isomers of 1,2,3-tri(N-tert-butoxycarbonylamino)propylphosphonate 6 were synthesized from the respective diethyl [N-(1-phenylethyl)]-1-benzylamino-2,3-epiiminopropylphosphonates 5 via opening the aziridine ring with trimethylsilyl azide ...

Photoinduced Ring Opening Copolymerization of Perfluoropolyalkylethers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Perfluoropolyalkylethers (PFPAEs), based on structural units such as –(CF2O)–, –(CF2CF2O)–, –(CF2CF2CF2O)– and –(CF(CF3)CF2O)–, represent a special class of fluoropolymers with remarkable properties (low glass transition temperature, high chemical and ...

Ring-Opening Metathesis of a Cyclic Imine

open access: yes, 2016
Pyrroline, a five-membered cyclic imine, undergoes ring-opening metathesis with alkylidene complexes of the class Mo(CHR‘)(NAr)(OR)2 (Ar = 2,6 diisopropylphenyl; R = CMe3, CMe2(CF3), CMe(CF3)2; R‘ = CMe3, CPhMe2).

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Selective Synthesis of Tetrahydroisoquinoline and Piperidine Scaffolds by Oxidative Ring Opening/Ring Closing Protocols of Substituted Indenes and Cyclopentenes

open access: yesChemistryOpen
Novel tetrahydroisoquinoline and piperidine derivatives were selectively synthesized from substituted indenes or cyclopentenes. The process starts with an oxidative cleavage of the ring olefin bond, which gives reactive diformyl intermediates.

The synthesis and ring-opening polymerisation of functionalised chiral O-carboxyanhydrides and cyclic carbonates [PDF]

open access: yes
This thesis presents the synthesis of two novel O-carboxyanhydrides derived from L-malic acid bearing 2,2,2-trichloroethyl- and 2-nitrobenzyl esters, followed by investigation of their ring-opening polymerisation to furnish chiral, functionalised poly ...

Ring-Opening Olefin Metathesis of Twisted Amides: Activation of Amide Bonds by CC Cleavage

open access: yes, 2019
Selective CC bond cleavage in twisted amides by ring-opening olefin metathesis (ROM) was accomplished. The reaction represents the third mechanism for ring opening of nonplanar amide bonds discovered.
