Two-step ATP-driven opening of cohesin head
The cohesin ring is a protein complex composed of four core subunits: Smc1A, Smc3, Rad21 and Stag1/2. It is involved in chromosome segregation, DNA repair, chromatin organization and transcription regulation.

Photoinduced Ring Opening Copolymerization of Perfluoropolyalkylethers [PDF]
Perfluoropolyalkylethers (PFPAEs), based on structural units such as –(CF2O)–, –(CF2CF2O)–, –(CF2CF2CF2O)– and –(CF(CF3)CF2O)–, represent a special class of fluoropolymers with remarkable properties (low glass transition temperature, high chemical and ...

Ring-Opening Metathesis of a Cyclic Imine
Pyrroline, a five-membered cyclic imine, undergoes ring-opening metathesis with alkylidene complexes of the class Mo(CHR‘)(NAr)(OR)2 (Ar = 2,6 diisopropylphenyl; R = CMe3, CMe2(CF3), CMe(CF3)2; R‘ = CMe3, CPhMe2).

ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The synthesis and ring-opening polymerisation of functionalised chiral O-carboxyanhydrides and cyclic carbonates [PDF]
This thesis presents the synthesis of two novel O-carboxyanhydrides derived from L-malic acid bearing 2,2,2-trichloroethyl- and 2-nitrobenzyl esters, followed by investigation of their ring-opening polymerisation to furnish chiral, functionalised poly ...

Ring-Opening Olefin Metathesis of Twisted Amides: Activation of Amide Bonds by CC Cleavage
Selective CC bond cleavage in twisted amides by ring-opening olefin metathesis (ROM) was accomplished. The reaction represents the third mechanism for ring opening of nonplanar amide bonds discovered.
