Cloning and expression analysis of two ROR-γ homologues (ROR-γa1 and ROR-γa2) in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss [PDF]
This paper describes the cloning and characterisation of two retinoid-related orphan receptor (ROR)-γ homologues (ROR-γa1 and -γa2) in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The coding region predicted for both homologues consists of 1410 base pairs (bp), which translate into two 469 amino acid (aa) proteins. The trout ROR-γs revealed a high conservation

The circadian clock mechanism in mammals involves two interlocking transcriptional feedback loops. Rev-erb alpha, through its role as a transcriptional repressor, was thought to be the primary determinant of the feedback loop that regulates Bmal1 transcription. Results reported by Sato et al.

Pyramidal RoR for image classification [PDF]
The Residual Networks of Residual Networks (RoR) exhibits excellent performance in the image classification task, but sharply increasing the number of feature map channels makes the characteristic information transmission incoherent, which losses a certain of information related to classification prediction, limiting the classification performance.

The ROR in Repositories workshop will introduce participants to the Research Organization Registry (ROR); teach participants to search the ROR API; go over the importance of ROR IDs in DataCite DOIs; and facilitate discussion of ROR in repositories. Organizational identifiers such as ROR IDs help to regularize organization affiliation information in ...

WNT5a-ROR Signaling Is Essential for Alveologenesis [PDF]
WNT5a is a mainly “non-canonical” WNT ligand whose dysregulation is observed in lung diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. Germline deletion of Wnt5a disrupts embryonic lung development. However, the temporal-specific function of WNT5a remains unknown.

Action of RORs and their ligands in (patho)physiology [PDF]
The retinoic-acid-receptor-related orphan receptors (RORs) are members of the nuclear receptor (NR) superfamily whose activity has been implicated in several physiological and pathological processes. The RORs, specifically RORα and RORγ, are considered to be master regulators of T(H)17 cells, a recently described subset of CD4(+) T helper cells that ...

Rainbow of ribbons (ROR) [PDF]
IntroductionROR is a campaign which gives individuals a chance to dedicate a ribbon to someone who has added colour to their lives. The ribbon is then tied in the grounds of the Hospice with an open day for the public to view the ribbons.Aims▶To find a new income stream from an in-memory campaign.▶Replace our Ray of Sunshine (ROS) balloon release event

The recessive mouse mutation staggerer (sg) disturbs the normal development of cerebellar Purkinje cells and affects certain functions of the immune system. To identify the causative gene, we constructed high-resolution genetic and physical maps of the staggerer locus on mouse chromosome 9.

AbstractFunctional polymorphisms in Linc-ROR may change its ability of regulation by regulating Linc-ROR expression. However, these functional polymorphisms in Linc-ROR and their associations with breast cancer (BC) susceptibility were scarcely reported.
