Effects of Quercetin Metabolites on Glucose‐Dependent Lipid Accumulation in 3T3‐L1 Adipocytes

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
Quercetin metabolites (QMs), found in foods like fruits and vegetables, can influence how fat cells process fats and sugars. This study shows that QMs help reduce fat storage and sugar uptake in fat cells when sugar levels are high. Under conditions mimicking caloric restriction, they boost sugar use for energy.

An Improved Iterative Method to Obtain Optimal Monomer Addition Profiles in Copolymerizations

open access: yesMacromolecular Reaction Engineering, EarlyView.
Controlling the chemical composition distribution of copolymers through optimal monomer addition profiles (OMAP) is of great importance for their properties. An improved semi‐empirical procedure is described to obtain OMAP on time basis that requires minimal knowledge of kinetics parameters and therefore is very suitable for monomers where most kinetic

Liposomes Containing Tetraether Lipids and Cell‐Penetrating Peptides as Platform Technology for Oral Delivery of Peptides: A Comparative Study on GLP‐1 Analogs

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
Liposomes functionalized with tetraether lipids and cell‐penetrating peptides are explored as a platform technology for oral peptide delivery. Therefore, peptide drugs (GLP‐1 analogs) with different sizes and physicochemical properties are used as model drugs.

Development of phytotherapeutic nanoformulation containing Gypsophila eriocalyx and its evaluation as a candidate formulation for osteoporosis treatment on human bone marrow stem cells

open access: yesPhytochemical Analysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Osteoporosis, one of the common bone diseases, manifests itself as a decrease in bone mass. Recently, the use of medicinal plants in the search for effective and low‐toxicity therapeutics for the prevention or treatment of osteoporosis has become a trending topic.
