Inheritance of determinants of flower colour in tetraploid roses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The choice of selection breeding for crop improvement in cut roses requires a better understanding of biological mechanisms and knowledge of the inheritance of the major target traits which can lead to new or improved screening methods.

Atomically precise metal cluster enzymes for pathological tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of atomically precise metal cluster enzymes (MCEs) for pathological tissue regeneration. Atomically precise MCEs can modulate biological processes, such as attenuation of inflammatory responses, eradication of bacterial pathogens, regulation of angiogenesis, and promotion of cell development.

Design of a Fluorescent Boronic Acid‐Functionalized Pyranoflavylium Receptor to Host and Release Diol‐Rich Bioactive Analytes in a pH‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
This work presents a pH‐responsive ON–OFF fluorescent system based on a novel pyranoflavylium dye functionalized with a boronic acid receptor. The receptor exhibits a markedly higher affinity for the catechol‐containing polyphenol (+)‐catechin than for conventional diol‐rich molecules such as glucose and lactic acid.

Novel RP-HPLC method development and validation for precise quantification of prochlorperazine maleate in pharmaceutical dosage forms

open access: yesJournal of Applied Pharmaceutical Research
Background: Prochlorperazine Maleate, a piperazine phenothiazine derivative, exhibits strong antiemetic and antipsychotic properties. However, existing analytical methods for its quantification in pharmaceutical formulations often face limitations ...

Ion Pair-Reversed Phase HPLC Approach Facilitates Subcloning of PCR Products and Screening of Recombinant Colonies

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2000
The isolation of a single DNA molecule for cloning is technically difficult, and the subsequent screening of colonies for recombinant DNA clones is time consuming. Ion pair-reversed phase HPLC (IPRP-HPLC) analysis of nucleic acids improves the resolution

The application of amino acid racemization in the acid soluble fraction of enamel to the estimation of the age of human teeth [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Estimation of age-at-death for skeletonised forensic remains is one of the most significant problems in forensic anthropology. The majority of existing morphological and histological techniques are highly inaccurate, and show a bias towards ...

Study of Reactions of Two Mannich Bases Derived of 4’-Hydroxychalcones with Glutathione by RP‑TLC, RP‑HPLC and RP‑HPLC‑ESI‑MS Analysis

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2016
4'-Hydroxychalcones have been reported to possess several beneficial biological effects. Several lines of evidence accumulated to demonstrate increased biological activities of the Mannich base derivatives of the parent 4'-hydroxychalcones. Bioactivities of chalcones and related α,β-unsaturated ketones are frequently associated with their reactivity ...
