Noisy Graph Patterns via Ordered Matrices

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract The high‐level structure of a graph is a crucial ingredient for the analysis and visualization of relational data. However, discovering the salient graph patterns that form this structure is notoriously difficult for two reasons. (1) Finding important patterns, such as cliques and bicliques, is computationally hard.

Advanced Studies on RPCs

open access: yes, 2001
The purpose of the present work is to to investigate the properties of the RPCs detectors with particular reference to the high rate operation that is more and more required by the experiments at present and future hadron colliders.

A new generation of RPCs for the ALICE Muon IDentifier

open access: yes
International audienceA Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) is one of the four large experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and that is designed to study the physics of Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) using ultra-relativistic Pb–Pb collisions. To

Long-term operation test of RPCs for the OPERA experiment

open access: yes, 2004
OPERA is one of the two detectors foreseen in the CERN Neutrino to Gran Sasso project, devoted to the detection of nu//mu into nu //tau oscillations in the parameter region suggested by SuperKamiokande data on atmospheric neutrinos. Bakelite RPCs will be

Targeted, receptor‐mediated delivery of a masked d‐amino acid cell‐penetrating peptide for cell‐specific phototoxicity

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
A targeted phototoxic peptide selectively accumulates in cells expressing chemokine‐like receptor 1 (CMKLR1). Phototoxicity of the native peptide is low, but cleavage by lysosomal protease cathepsin B releases a 6‐tetramethylrhodamine (TMR) labeled nona‐ᴅ‐arginine which mediates lysosomal rupture and cell death upon irradiation.

Collective behaviors of Drosophila-derived retinal progenitors in controlled microenvironments.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Collective behaviors of retinal progenitor cells (RPCs) are critical to the development of neural networks needed for vision. Signaling cues and pathways governing retinal cell fate, migration, and functional organization are remarkably conserved across ...

Ocular Manifestations of Infectious Salmon Anaemia Virus Infection in Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eyes are essential sensory organs needed by teleost Atlantic salmon for high visual acuity and survival in both the wild and in aquaculture settings. In this work, we assessed the ocular manifestations of Infectious Salmon Anaemia Virus (ISAV) infection in Atlantic salmon by a cohabitation‐mediated infection assay and histological and ...

Differentiation of Retinal Glial Cells From Human Embryonic Stem Cells by Promoting the Notch Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, 2019
Dysfunction of retinal glial cells, particularly Müller cells, has been implicated in several retinal diseases. Despite their important contribution to retinal homeostasis, a specific way to differentiate retinal glial cells from human pluripotent stem ...
