Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Genetic Diagnosis of Adult Hemodialysis Patients With Unknown Etiology

open access: yesKidney International Reports
Introduction: Kidney disease of unknown etiology accounts for 1 in 10 adult end-stage renal disease (ESRD) cases worldwide. The aim of this study is to clarify the genetic background of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) of unknown etiology who ...

Artificial Intelligence in Autonomous Mobile Robot Navigation: From Classical Approaches to Intelligent Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping autonomous mobile robot navigation beyond classical pipelines. This review analyzes how AI techniques are integrated into core navigation tasks, including path planning and control, localization and mapping, perception, and context‐aware decision‐making. Learning‐based, probabilistic, and soft‐computing methods

Interacting bosons in generalized zig-zag and railroad-trestle models

open access: yes, 2019
We theoretically study the ground-state phase diagram of strongly interacting bosons on a generalized zig-zag ladder model, the rail-road trestle (RRT) model.

External validation of a risk stratification model to assist shared decision making for patients starting renal replacement therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
BACKGROUND: Shared decision making is nowadays acknowledged as an essential step when deciding on starting renal replacement therapy. Valid risk stratification of prognosis is, besides discussing quality of life, crucial in this regard.

Advanced Investigation of the Elimination of Methylene Blue From Wastewater Using Activated Carbon–Copper Oxide Nanowires: New Perspectives With Statistical Physical Modeling

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, the actual route of methylene blue (MB) dye adsorption by using fabricated polyfunctional activated carbon–copper oxide nanowires (AC@CuO‐NWs) from bulky wastewater bodies has been investigated. To better understand the exact pathway of the adsorption process, a prominent statistical physics formalism or grand canonical ...

Incremental Sampling-based Algorithms for Optimal Motion Planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
During the last decade, incremental sampling-based motion planning algorithms, such as the Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRTs) have been shown to work well in practice and to possess theoretical guarantees such as probabilistic completeness.

Research on Evaporation Characteristics and Safe Storage Duration of Marine Liquid Hydrogen Storage Tanks Under the Coupling Effect of Heat Leakage and Sloshing

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liquid hydrogen, a zero‐carbon and high–energy‐density fuel, is a promising option for future oceangoing vessels. During maritime transportation, onboard cryogenic tanks are exposed to ambient heat leakage and ship‐induced roll motion, which can trigger sloshing and fundamentally modify the coupled thermo‐fluid processes governing boil‐off and

RMPD - A Recursive Mid-Point Displacement Algorithm for Path Planning

open access: yes, 2018
Motivated by what is required for real-time path planning, the paper starts out by presenting sRMPD, a new recursive "local" planner founded on the key notion that, unless made necessary by an obstacle, there must be no deviation from the shortest path ...
