Sampling the canonical phase from phase-space functions [PDF]
We discuss the possibility of sampling exponential moments of the canonical phase from the s-parametrized phase space functions. We show that the sampling kernels exist and are well-behaved for any s>-1, whereas for s=-1 the kernels diverge in the origin.

Solid-Phase Synthesis of s-Tetrazines [PDF]
An efficient synthesis of s-tetrazines by solid-phase methods is described. This synthesis route was compatible with different solid-phase resins and linkers and did not require metal catalysts or high temperatures. Monosubstituted tetrazines were routinely synthesized using thiol-promoted chemistry, using dichloromethane as a carbon source, while ...

Quadratic phase S-Transform: Properties and uncertainty principles
In this paper, a novel quadratic phase S-transform (QPST) is proposed, by generalizing the S-transform (ST) with five parameters a, b, c,d and e. QPST displays the time and quadratic phase domain-frequency information jointly in the time-frequency plane.

POLARISATION OF THE S - PHASE OF SEISMOGRAMS
In earthquakes recorded at moderate distances it lias been ohservedthat S phase appears first as SII, folloived some 10 to 14 seconds laterby SV. The object of tliis paper is to try to decide ichether doublérefraction is likely to be the explanation of ...

E2F-dependent transcription determines replication capacity and S phase length
DNA replication is tightly regulated during S phase of the cell cycle to ensure timely and accurate genome duplication. Here, the authors reveal that E2F-dependent transcription determines the maximal amount of DNA a cell is able to synthesise per unit ...

Developing S-phase control [PDF]
The duration of S phase in early embryos is often short, and then increases as development proceeds because of the appearance of late-replicating regions of the genome. In the April 1, 2012, issue of Genes & Development, Farrell and colleagues (pp.

The metapoems of Glauco Mattoso´s blind phase
Reflecting about Glauco Mattoso´s poetic art singularities, this paper analyzes some of the metapoems of the author’s so called blind phase, in which the hearing becomes a crucial tool in the creation process as well as the predominance of the poetic ...

The tensor renormalization group study of the general spin-S Blume-Capel model
We focus on the special situation of $D=2J$ of the general spin-S Blume-Capel model on the square lattice. Under the infinitesimal external magnetic field, the phase transition behaviors due to the thermal fluctuations are discussed by the newly ...

S-phase against S-phase tribopairs for biomedical applications
Abstract S-phase, or expanded austenite, is a corrosion resistant diffused hardened layer which can be created in austenitic stainless steels and cobalt–chromium(Co-Cr) alloys. It is a precipitate-free metastable supersaturated solid solution of nitrogen or carbon or both.
