Impact of Dietary Sodium Butyrate and Salinomycin on Performance and Intestinal Microbiota in a Broiler Gut Leakage Model

open access: yesAnimals, 2022
Unfavorable alterations of the commensal gut microbiota and dysbacteriosis is a major health problem in the poultry industry. Understanding how dietary intervention alters the microbial ecology of broiler chickens is important for prevention strategies ...

PATHOLOGICAL AND SERUM BIOCHEMICAL EFFECTS OF SALINOMYCIN ON LAYER CHICKS [PDF]

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2008
Effects of continuous and over dosage of salinomycin was studied experimentally in layer chicks.Salinomycin was given to layers @ 60, 120 and 180 ppm in feed up to the age of 12 weeks.

Salinomycin potentiates the cytotoxic effects of TRAIL on glioblastoma cell lines.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) has been reported to exhibit therapeutic activity in cancer. However, many tumors remain resistant to treatment with TRAIL.

Chemotherapy‐driven expression of WNT ligands in bone marrow stromal cells contributes to chemoresistance in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 208, Issue 5, Page 1572-1583, May 2026.
Chemotherapy‐induced WNT ligand secretion by bone marrow (BM) stroma drives acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) chemoresistance. WNT pathway inhibition disrupts this cross‐talk and restores therapeutic response, highlighting WNT inhibitors as a promising strategy to prevent relapse in ALL.

Influence of Salinomycin on the Performance of Broiler Chicks

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1987
Two experiments were conducted to determine the influence of graded levels of salinomycin on the performance of broiler chicks. Cobb feather-sexed chicks were fed experimental diets from 1 to 21 days of age. A significant depression in body weight and feed consumption was obtained when the feed contained 77 ppm of salinomycin.

Copper(II), a Peculiar Metal Ion for Complexation With Monensin A Ionophore

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 14, 15 April 2026.
Copper(II) forms three chiral and EPR‐active complexes with monensinate A in methanol. Beside the bis [CuL2] and mono [CuL]+ species, the new dinuclear construct [Cu2L]3+ exhibits an [ML]+‐type and a metal salt‐type copper(II) centers weakly bound to each other through counter ion(s) and thus, being magnetically independent.

A New Insight Into Salinomycin

open access: yesIranian Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Salinomycin is a polyether ionophore antibiotic used as a coccidiostat and growth promoter in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry since the 1980s. It is a promising anticancer drug that targets human cancer stem cells and inhibits tumor cell growth. It can induce autophagy, mitophagy, and mitochondrial polarity in cancer cells.

Systematic Engineering of Proteases in Saccharopolyspora Spinosa Reveals Synergistic Enhancement of Spinosad Biosynthesis via Substrate Flux Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 20, 9 April 2026.
ARTP mutagenesis yielded Saccharopolyspora spinosa mutant D184 with improved extracellular nitrogen utilization. An integrated workflow of protease genetic manipulation, multi‐omics, and rational synergy design pinpointed a pepP‐clpP‐htpX synergistic triangular combination.
