The notion of zeros of sampled-data systems is introduced in the lifting framework so that from the continuous-time viewpoint the zeros have signal transmission blocking properties. A characterization of all such zeros is given in terms of the eigenvalues of a bounded operator on the state space.

Sampled-Data Systems: Maximal Sampling Period
2019 57th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2019This note presents a methodology for the design and the implementation of robust sampled-data systems with maximal sampling periods. The methodology applies to nonlinear input-affine systems. It is shown that optimal outcomes can be approximated by bang-bang controllers that are easy to design and implement.

Invariance of sampled-data and adaptive sampled-data systems

Analysis of sampled-data interconnected systems

An FDI approach for sampled-data systems
Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001In this paper, problems related to fault detection and isolation (FDI) in sampled-data (SD) systems are studied. A tool to analyze SD systems from the viewpoint of FDI and based on it a direct design approach of FDI system are developed. Key of these studies is the introduction of an operator which is used to describe the sampling effect.
