Effective Search of Triterpenes with Anti-HSV-1 Activity Using a Classification Model by Logistic Regression

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2021
Natural products are an excellent source of skeletons for medicinal seeds. Triterpenes and saponins are representative natural products that exhibit anti-herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) activity.

Irgm1 Improves Postinfarction Cardiac Repair by Promoting Neutrophil Clearance and Efferocytosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Irgm1‐PDIA3 axis enhances post‐infarction cardiac repair by accelerating neutrophil clearance and facilitating efferocytosis. Irgm1 holds potential as a prognostic biomarker in MI, and LOC14 may represent a therapeutic option to improve cardiac repair, especially in cases of Irgm1 deficiency.

SLC2A3‐Mediated Lactate Metabolism Promotes Lung Cancer Bone Metastasis by Modulating P53 Lactylation and Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC2A3 derived lactate promotes metastasis through p53 lactylation at K120 and osteoclast differentiation. Pharmacological inhibition of SLC2A3 upregulates PD‐1 expression on CD8+ T cells via lactate induced p53 lactylation, which modulates immune evasion. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis is a devastating consequence of lung cancer.

WARU LEAF (Hibiscus tiliaceus) AS SAPONIN SOURCE ON In vitro RUMINAL FERMENTATION CHARACTERISTIC [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Indonesian Tropical Animal Agriculture, 2011
The effect of waru leaf (Hibiscus tiliaceus) supplementation as saponin source on ruminal fermentation characteristics were studied using in vitro gas production techniques. Rumen fluid was taken from fistulated Ongole crossbreed cattle.

Targeted Extracellular Vesicles Deliver Asiaticoside to Inhibit AURKB/DRP1‐Mediated Mitochondrial Fission and Attenuate Hypertrophic Scar Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hypertrophic scar formation is driven by excessive mitochondrial fission in wound macrophages, which we discover is governed by a novel AURKB‐DRP1(Ser616) axis. The study develops a targeted therapy using cRGD‐decorated extracellular vesicles to deliver the natural compound Asiaticoside specifically to macrophages.

Versatile DNA Hydrogel‐Mediated Delivery of Ginsenoside‐Encapsulated Small Extracellular Vesicles to Boost Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a DNA hydrogel‐mediated delivery system, in which ginsenoside (GS) molecules are incorporated into small extracellular vesicles (sEV) secreted by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and the formed complexes are then anchored in DNA hydrogels via aptamer‐CD63 affinity as “GS/sEV@DNAgels”, to improve diabetic wound repair.

Polyphenol‐Based Biomaterials Against Cancer Radio/Chemotherapy‐Induced Intestinal Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy/chemotherapy often causes intestinal toxicity, impairing cancer patients’ quality of life and treatment efficacy. Polyphenols protect against this injury via multiple mechanisms, but face oral use limitations. This review outlines their protective mechanisms and delivery challenges, highlighting recent oral delivery advances and future ...
