Dynamic Hydrogel‐Based Cytomimetic Models for Chemical Information Conduction

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
The enzymes of glucose oxidase, catalase, and horseradish peroxidase are encapsulated into cavitary hydrogels as cytomimetic models to investigate the cascade reaction efficiency inside two closed systems while considering the circulating performance of dissolved oxygen and thermal stimulation.

The Schwann Cell

open access: yesActa Biológica Colombiana, 2004
The neurones are the cells of the nervous system and are surrounded and protected by glials cells. In the peripheral nervous system the Schwann cells (SC) are the glia of the nerves.

Biomaterial‐Based Emergency Intervention for Secondary Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Emergency intervention using advanced biomaterials targets key pathological mechanisms to block secondary spinal cord injury (SCI) by inhibiting inflammation, reducing excitotoxicity, restoring the blood−spinal cord barrier, and limiting scar formation, which provides significant neural protection and promotes neural regeneration, offering promising ...

Transcriptional Diversity in Response to Aging Across Skeletal Muscles

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
We constructed transcriptional maps of 11 skeletal muscles from young and old mice, revealing age‐related tissue‐specific gene expression changes. Our findings highlight cellular composition shifts and new cell states in aged muscles, providing insights into muscle aging and potential therapeutic targets for age‐related muscle disorders. ABSTRACT Aging
