Review of methodological approaches to quality evaluation of recombinant interferon products
The article summarises methods used to control the quality of recombinant interferon alpha and beta (IFNs) products. It demonstrates that currently used methodological approaches generally ensure proper quality control of this group of medicines. However,

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Analysis of the demand for reference standards used in quality evaluation of biologicals
Quality evaluation of biologicals entails some specific considerations and problems associated with inherent variability of biological systems. This has implications not only for biological and immunological test methods, but for physical and physico ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Inhibitors of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2: risk of ketoacidosis
SGLT2 inhibitors form a new class of hypoglycemic drugs. Despite of the pharmacodynamic profile, at the moment the opinion about their safety is controversial. This is due to increased number of reports given by FDA and EMA on the risk of serious adverse

CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
