Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Variation of air--water gas transfer with wind stress and surface viscoelasticity [PDF]
Previous parameterizations of gas transfer velocity have attempted to cast this quantity as a function of wind speed or wind-stress. This study demonstrates that the presence of a surface film is effective at reducing the gas transfer velocity at ...

Kuroshio Extension cold-core ring and wind drop-off observed in 2021–2022 winter
Energetic cyclonic mesoscale eddies, which are called cold-core rings and are shed southward from the Kuroshio Extension jet and form closed streamlines, affect the atmosphere through the heat exchange across the sea surface. To investigate the effect of

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

On the Dependence of Sea Surface Roughness on Wind Waves
Abstract The influence of wind waves on the momentum transfer (wind stress) between the atmosphere and sea surface was studied using new measured data from the RASEX experiment and other datasets compiled by Donelan et al. Results of the data analysis indicate that errors in wind friction velocity u∗ of about ±10% make it difficult to conclude on the ...

Spatial Variability of Sea State in the German Bight and Influence of Offshore Wind Farms
Offshore wind farms are growing worldwide and increase the source of renewable energy. However, as the extent and density of offshore wind farms increase, there is growing importance to understand the interactions with physical systems and the marine ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Sea wave modeling with X-band COSMO-SkyMed© SAR-derived wind field forcing and applications in coastal vulnerability assessment [PDF]
In this paper, X-band COSMO-SkyMed© synthetic aperture radar (SAR) wind field data are first used to force coastal wind wave modeling for both sea wave numerical simulation and coastal vulnerability assessment purposes. The SAR-based wind field retrieval

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
