ABSTRACT Ageing is a major risk factor for degenerative diseases, including sarcopenia, which is characterized by a progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, frailty, and is associated with increased mortality. Skeletal muscle regeneration relies on muscle stem cells and efficient communication with cellular microenvironment.

ABSTRACT Cadmium (Cd2+) contamination in agricultural soils has been reported to pose risks to crop productivity, food safety, and human health. This review synthesizes current knowledge on the mechanisms by which essential (S, Zn, Fe, Mg, K, Ca) and beneficial (Si, Se, rare earth elements) elements mitigate Cd2+ toxicity in plants.

Selenoprotein P is not elevated in gestational diabetes mellitus
Selenoprotein P concentrations have been found to be associated with insulin resistance and elevated in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). The aim of the present study was to investigate circulating selenoprotein P level and its possible relationship with metabolic parameters in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).

Under the treatment of ferroptosis inducers, the expression of SEPHS2 is upregulated, driven by ATF4, to increase the biosynthesis of selenoproteins (e.g., GPX4) to promote resistance to ferroptosis. ABSTRACT While it has been reported that antioxidant selenoproteins are crucial for anti‐ferroptosis in tumors, it remains unclear whether and how ...

Selenoprotein P inhibits cell proliferation and ROX production in HCC cells.
Selenoprotein P (SEPP1) is a kind of secretory glycoproteins with an antioxidant effect during the development of some diseases. In this study, we attempted to observe the expression of SEPP1 in livers from the patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
