Self-triggered linear quadratic control

open access: yes, 2014
Self-triggered control is a recently proposed paradigm that abandons the more traditional periodic time-triggered execution of control tasks with the objective of reducing the utilization of communication resources, while still guaranteeing desirable ...

Increased Risk of Sarcomas in Children With Congenital Anomalies: Findings From the Genetic Overlap Between Anomalies and Cancer in Kids (GOBACK) Registry Linkage Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pediatric sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of tumors that contribute disproportionately to cancer mortality in children. Although congenital anomalies are among the strongest known risk factors for childhood cancer, the risk of specific sarcoma subtypes among affected individuals has not yet been thoroughly evaluated. Procedure We

Self-optimizing robust nonlinear model predictive control

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a novel method for designing robust MPC schemes that are self-optimizing in terms of disturbance attenuation. The method employs convex control Lyapunov functions and disturbance bounds to optimize robustness of the closed-loop system

Adaptive distributed finite‐time fault‐tolerant controller for cooperative braking of the vehicle platoon

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, 2021
Vehicle platooning can significantly reduce traffic accidents and enhance transportation safety. Among many subsystems and functionalities equipped in a vehicle platoon, cooperative braking is a safety‐critical one.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A novel hybrid self-adaptive heuristic algorithm to handle single- and multi-objective optimal power flow problems

open access: yes, 2021
The optimal power flow (OPF) is a key tool in the planning and operation of power systems, and aims to optimize the operational costs involved in the production and transport of energy by adjusting control variables to meet operational, economic, and ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Adaptive fuzzy control for non‐strict‐feedback stochastic uncertain non‐linear systems based on event‐triggered strategy

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2021
This paper investigates the issue of adaptive fuzzy control for a category of non‐strict‐feedback stochastic uncertain non‐linear systems. Based on event‐triggered mechanism, an adaptive fuzzy controller with a simple form is designed by combining ...
