A Self-triggered Position Based Visual Servoing Model Predictive Control Scheme for Underwater Robotic Vehicles

open access: yesMachines, 2020
An efficient position based visual sevroing control approach for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) by employing Non-linear Model Predictive Control (N-MPC) is designed and presented in this work.

Epigenetic reprogramming of lineage switching in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer cells rarely commit to a single identity. Epigenetic mechanisms and tumor microenvironment cues push epithelial cells toward flexible, hybrid states that can shift into mesenchymal, neuroendocrine, or stem‐like fates, driving metastasis, drug resistance, and tumor heterogeneity. Targeting the epigenetic regulators behind these transitions, using

Regression-Based Self-Triggered Control of Distributed Economic Dispatch over Lossy Communication Channels

open access: yesEnergies
An essential building block of today’s smart grids is the integration of various renewable power generators into the system. Renewable distributed generators (DGs) provide environment friendly energy at a low cost.

Adaptive Event-Triggered Path Tracking Control for Self-Driving Vehicles Against Denial-of-Service Attacks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper focuses on the secure path tracking control of wireless self-driving vehicles (SDVs). To address the challenges of network security and limited network bandwidth in the design of wireless SDVs, a co-modeling approach considering denial-of ...

Performance of Self-Triggered Control Approaches

open access: yesEnfoque UTE, 2017
The self-triggered control produces non-periodic sampling sequences that vary depending on design factors related to stability and performance of the controlled system. Within this framework, two approaches aimed at minimizing a quadratic cost have been developed recently, considering an optimal performance and pursuing the same control objective; each

Data-Driven Self-Triggered Control via Trajectory Prediction

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2023
Self-triggered control, a well-documented technique for reducing the communication overhead while ensuring desired system performance, is gaining increasing popularity. However, existing methods for self-triggered control require explicit system models that are assumed perfectly known a priori.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Guiding AlphaFold to predict how Munc13‐1 opens Syntaxin‐1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The syntaxin‐1 Habc‐domain (orange), linker (pink) and SNARE motif (yellow) form a closed conformation that binds to Munc18‐1 (violet) and is opened by the Munc13‐1 MUN domain (cyan) to form the SNARE complex that triggers neurotransmitter release.
