Sugeno Model Based Control for Semi active Vehicle Suspension

2009
In this paper a fuzzy Sugeno rule based controller is used to manage a semi-active suspension of 1/4 vehicle model. Our semi-active suspensions have the characteristic to change the damping constant in order to reduce vertical oscillation of the vehicle, to restrain the shell vehicle acceleration and consequently to be more comfortable for passengers ...

H ∞ Control of Automotive Semi-Active Suspensions

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004
Abstract This paper deals with the control of semi-active automotive suspensions using H∞ state-space optimization techniques. After the derivation of two standard models of the system, quarter car and half car model, three H∞ controllers are developed in the fully active case and then adapted to the non-linear real system using a sort of clipped ...

Nonlinear H∞ control for semi-active suspension

JSAE Review, 1999
Abstract This paper describes the development of a damping control system for semi-active suspension which is based on nonlinear H ∞ control theory instead of conventional linear control theory. A two degrees of freedom system is used as the structure for the vehicle suspension model.

Stochastic control of semi-active suspension system

2017 29th Chinese Control And Decision Conference (CCDC), 2017
In this paper, for automobile semi-active suspension in rough road, the problems of random modeling and control are considered. First, dynamics model is constructed assuming the road being flat. According to the dynamic-static method and the relative-motion principle, the road irregularities is transformed to disturbance to the control.

KALMAN FILTERING IN SEMI-ACTIVE SUSPENSION CONTROL

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002
Abstract This paper focuses on estimation of the vertical velocity of the vehicle chassis and the relative velocity between chassis and wheel. These velocities are important variables in semi-active suspension control. A model-based estimator is proposed including a Kalman filter and a non-linear model of the damper.
