Exploiting temporal information for 3D pose estimation
In this work, we address the problem of 3D human pose estimation from a sequence of 2D human poses. Although the recent success of deep networks has led many state-of-the-art methods for 3D pose estimation to train deep networks end-to-end to predict ...

Cramer-Rao bounds in the estimation of time of arrival in fading channels [PDF]
This paper computes the Cramer-Rao bounds for the time of arrival estimation in a multipath Rice and Rayleigh fading scenario, conditioned to the previous estimation of a set of propagation channels, since these channel estimates (correlation between ...

CORRIE: enzyme sequence annotation with confidence estimates [PDF]
Using a previously developed automated method for enzyme annotation, we report the re-annotation of the ENZYME database and the analysis of local error rates per class. In control experiments, we demonstrate that the method is able to correctly re-annotate 91% of all Enzyme Classification (EC) classes with high coverage (755 out of 827). Only 44 enzyme

On the reciprocal products of generalized Fibonacci sequences
In this paper, we use the properties of error estimation and the analytic method to study the reciprocal products of the bi-periodic Fibonacci sequence, the bi-periodic Lucas sequence, and the mth-order linear recursive sequence.

Estimation and Reliability of Molecular Sequence Alignments [PDF]
The problem of estimating the relatedness of a pair of biological sequences is addressed. A stochastic model of sequence evolution is described that allows insertion and deletion as well as replacement of amino acid residues (or substitution of nucleotides) over time.

Learning the dynamics and time-recursive boundary detection of deformable objects [PDF]
We propose a principled framework for recursively segmenting deformable objects across a sequence of frames. We demonstrate the usefulness of this method on left ventricular segmentation across a cardiac cycle.

PN Sequence Preestimator Scheme for DS-SS Signal Acquisition Using Block Sequence Estimation
An m-sequence (PN sequence) preestimator scheme for direct-sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) signal acquisition by using block sequence estimation (BSE) is proposed and analyzed.

Bio-inspired motion-adaptive estimation algorithm of sequence image
To overcome the insufficiencies of varying illumination, large displacement estimation, and outlier removal, a motion-adaptive V1-MT (MAV1MT) motion estimation algorithm based on machine learning and a bio-inspired model of sequence image was proposed ...

A Central Limit Theorem for non-overlapping return times
Define the non-overlapping return time of a random process to be the number of blocks that we wait before a particular block reappears. We prove a Central Limit Theorem based on these return times.
