Study on Ligninase Activity of Aspergillus fumigatus G13 Induced by Lignin Model Compounds

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2020
With the ligninase activity as an index, three model compounds, ferulic acid, pcoumaric acid and sinapic acid, were used as substrates to study the characteristics of Aspergillus fumigatus G13 induced enzyme production by adding cellulose and glucose and

Biogenic Silver Nanoparticles Mediated by Phytoconstituents of the Edible Spice Pimpinella anisum: Characterization and In Vitro, In Vivo, and In Silico Biological Evaluation

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the aqueous extract of Pimpinella anisum seeds (AE‐PAS) and its green‐synthesized silver nanoparticles (PA‐AgNPs) using integrated in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches. LC–MS analysis identified 26 phytoconstituents, mainly sinapic acid (15.78%), hispidulin (15.35%), caffeic acid (11.09%), and rutin (8.86%).

Sinapic Acid Ameliorates the Progression of Streptozotocin (STZ)-Induced Diabetic Nephropathy in Rats via NRF2/HO-1 Mediated Pathways

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2020
Diabetic neuropathy (DN) is a complicated inauspicious outcome of diabetes, like other abnormalities of diabetes the cause of DN is still vague and it may be the result of various pathological conditions leading up to end-stage renal failure. The present

Potential Use of Hazelnut Beverage in Water Kefir Fermentation: Effects of Sugar Addition on Physicochemical, Microbiological, Rheological, Bioactive, Volatile, and Allergenic Properties

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the potential of hazelnut beverage, obtained from hazelnut cake through high‐pressure homogenization (100 MPa), for use in water kefir production. The effects of different sugar concentrations (2.5%, 5%, and 7.5%) on product properties and hazelnut allergenicity were also examined.

Coniferyl aldehyde from the phenylpropanoid pathway targets pyruvate kinase in Dactylobotrys graminicola to confer sheath rot resistance in hulless barley

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 9, Page 3490-3507, September 2026.
Hulless barley resists the newly identified sheath rot disease caused by the necrotrophic fungal pathogen Dactylobotrys graminicola by releasing coniferyl aldehyde, a natural compound that disrupts energy production in the fungus. ABSTRACT Dactylobotrys graminicola (Dgr), a necrotrophic fungal pathogen, has recently been identified as the causative ...

Cerebral Protective and Cognition-Improving Effects of Sinapic Acid in Rodents

open access: yesBiological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2007
We previously demonstrated that tenuifoliside B and 3,6'-disinapoylsucrose in Polygalae Radix, the root of Polygala tenuifolia WILLDENOW, inhibited potassium cyanide (KCN)-induced hypoxia and scopolamine-induced memory impairment in mice. Because both ingredients have a common sinapoyl moiety in their structure, we inferred that the sinapoyl moiety ...

Neuroprotective effects of sinapic acid involve the iron regulatory role on the rotenone-induced Parkinson’s disease model

open access: yes, 2022
In the last decades, ferroptosis and its relationship with Parkinson’s disease have gained significant attention. Compounds that affect ferroptosis and iron-dependent pathways in particular, have possible candidates for study in this context.Sinapic acid
