ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES OF SINAPIC ACID: IN VITRO AND IN VIVO APPROACH [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Objective: This study was aimed to evaluate the antioxidant potential of sinapic acid in both in vitro and in vivo. Recently, we have reported that oral administration of sinapic acid (3,5-dimethoxy 4-hydroxycinnamic acid) an active phyto ingredient ...

Structural insight into the oxidation of sinapic acid by CotA laccase

open access: yes, 2015
Laccases can oxidize plenty of substrates by use of molecular oxygen as the final electron acceptor. The broad substrate spectrum is further expanded by using redox mediators in so-called laccase-mediator systems, but the structural studies on ...

Sinapic Acid Co-Amorphous Systems with Amino Acids for Improved Solubility and Antioxidant Activity

open access: yes, 2023
The objective of this study was to obtain co-amorphous systems of poorly soluble sinapic acid using amino acids as co-formers. In order to assess the probability of the interaction of amino acids, namely, arginine, histidine, lysine, tryptophan, and ...

Phenolic composition and multi‐target bioactivities of Globularia alypum extracts across seasons

open access: yesJSFA reports, Volume 6, Issue 8, Page 314-330, August 2026.
Abstract Background This study investigates the influence of seasonal variation on the phytochemical profile and biofunctional activities of ethanolic leaf extracts from Globularia alypum. Leaves collected across four seasons were extracted with a hydroethanolic solvent (80:20, v/v) and analyzed by LC‐ESI‐MS/MS.

Determination of chlorinated fatty acids using SPE, XSD and GC/MS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Chlorinated fatty acids (ClFAs) account for a considerable portion of the extractable, organically bound chlorine (EOCl) in aquatic animals. Because of analytical difficulties little is as of yet known about their behaviour in organisms.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE COMPOUNDS COMPOSITION IN THE LEAVES AND FRUITS OF HEDERA CAUCASICA

open access: yesРазработка и регистрация лекарственных средств, 2019
A comparative study of the biologically active compounds (BAC) composition of alcoholic extracts of leaves and fruits was carried out by GLC-MS. It is shown that the BAC composition of leaves of Hedera caucasica is more extensive: the structure of 22 ...

Soybean and maize differentially metabolize deuterated ferulic and sinapic acids before polymerizing them into the root cell wall

open access: yesCurrent Plant Biology
Hydroxycinnamates induce lignification in young plants, leading to the overproduction of lignin as a defense mechanism. Phenylpropanoids-containing oligosaccharides are thought to be a signal of pathogen attack on the cell wall polysaccharides.

Ultrasound‐Assisted Extraction of Mucilage: An Approach for the Full Utilization of Ora‐Pro‐Nóbis Leaves

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Ora‐pro‐nóbis (OPN) leaves are remarkably high in mucilage content. Sustainable processing methods, such as ultrasound‐assisted extraction (UAE), can enhance the yield and functionality of OPN mucilage (OPNM). The resulting residue (OPNR) can be utilized to support circular economy approaches.

Physicochemical and Sensory Properties of Phyllo Pastry: Effects of Steam‐Assisted Baking and Vegetable Oils

open access: yesJournal of Food Process Engineering, Volume 49, Issue 8, August 2026.
Steam‐assisted baking (115°C, 60% RH) improved moisture retention and reduced weight loss in hand‐stretched phyllo pastry. Among the vegetable oils evaluated, canola oil provided a balanced physicochemical and sensory performance, supporting its potential use in healthier traditional bakery products.
