Orthorhombically Mixed s and d$_{x^2-y^2}$ Wave Superconductivity and Josephson Tunneling

open access: yes, 1995
The effect of orthorhombicity on Josephson tunneling in high T$_c$ superconductors such as YBCO is studied for both single crystals and highly twinned crystals. It is shown that experiments on highly twinned crystals experimentally determine the symmetry

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The technology of microcircuit assembly on flexible polyimide substrate

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2010
The research is devoted to technology of microcircuit assembly on flexible polyimide substrate. It is proved that such microcircuits provide high reliability and have advantage over other IC models when applied in hermetic micro-assemblies in ...

Salts of 4-[(benzylamino)carbonyl]-1-methylpyridinium and iodide anions with different cation:iodine stoichiometric ratios

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2021
The two iodide salts, 4-[(benzylamino)carbonyl]-1-methylpyridinium iodide–iodine (2/1), C14H15N2O+·I−·0.5I2, I, and 4-[(benzylamino)carbonyl]-1-methylpyridinium triiodide, C14H15N2O+·I3−, II, with different cation:iodine atoms ratios were studied. Salt I

Solution growth of Ce-Pd-In single crystals: characterization of the heavy-fermion superconductor Ce2PdIn8

open access: yes, 2010
Solution growth of single crystals of the recently reported new compound Ce2PdIn8 was investigated. When growing from a stoichiometry in a range 2:1:20 - 2:1:35, single crystals of CeIn3 covered by a thin (~50 um) single-crystalline layer of Ce2PdIn8 ...

Microstructure and pinning properties of hexagonal-disc shaped single crystalline MgB2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We synthesized hexagonal-disc-shaped MgB2 single crystals under high-pressure conditions and analyzed the microstructure and pinning properties. The lattice constants and the Laue pattern of the crystals from X-ray micro-diffraction showed the crystal ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Singe ferroelectric and chiral magnetic domain of single-crystalline BiFeO$_3$ in an electric field

open access: yes, 2008
We report polarized neutron scattering and piezoresponse force microscopy studies of millimeter-sized single crystals of multiferroic BiFeO$_3$. The crystals, grown below the Curie temperature, consist of a single ferroelectric domain.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
