Impact of Single Viable Hepatocellular Carcinoma ≤ 3 cm on Survival After Liver Transplantation
ANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.An Australian multi‐centre cohort study shows significantly lower 5‐year HCC‐specific mortality for those with no viable disease compared to those with a single viable tumour ≤ 3 cm, on imaging prior to transplantation. A lower AFP level and complete response on mRECIST criteria also reduced risk.

Alimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.ALBI‐6, a novel score combining albumin–bilirubin grade and interleukin‐6, showed improved prognostic discrimination compared with established scores in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma treated with atezolizumab plus bevacizumab, supporting its potential use for risk stratification in this setting.
