In randomly distributed Cu2O octahedron particles on a glass substrate, the absence of particles in certain areas generates a distinct “void‐particle induced interference” phenomenon. This effect results in notable reflection and transmission dichroism, characterized by two reflection peaks within the visible spectrum, but only a single transmission ...

Neuroinflammatory Profiling in SIV-Infected Chinese-Origin Rhesus Macaques on Antiretroviral Therapy
The central nervous system (CNS) HIV reservoir is an obstacle to achieving an HIV cure. The basal ganglia harbor a higher frequency of SIV than other brain regions in the SIV-infected rhesus macaques of Chinese-origin (chRMs) even on suppressive ...

Abstract Understanding the frequency and socio‐ecological drivers of contacts between humans and non‐human primates (NHPs) is crucial for enhancing coexistence that favours NHP conservation, while limiting negative consequences such as aggressions and cross‐species disease transmission.

Immunobiological Correlates of SIV Vaccine Vectors and Macaque Tropism
The field of HIV vaccines received a “boost” with around 30% protection obtained in the RV144 randomized, double-blind, efficacy trial in Thailand. Currently, 560 clinical trials in HIV vaccine development are registered as complete and results are ...

Understanding the process of envelope glycoprotein incorporation into virions in simian and feline immunodeficiency viruses [PDF]
The lentiviral envelope glycoproteins (Env) mediate virus entry by interacting with specific receptors present at the cell surface, thereby determining viral tropism and pathogenesis.

Digital Twin Simulations Toolbox of the Nitrogen‐Vacancy Center in Diamond
The Nitrogen‐vacancy (NV) center in diamond is a key platform within quantum technologies. This work introduces a Python based digital‐twin of the NV, where the spin dynamics of the system is simulated without relying on commonly used approximations, such as the adoption of rotating frame. The digital‐twin is validated through three different examples,

Cell culture biomechanical conditions influence extracellular vesicles (EVs) production in patient‐derived pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell lines. When grown in 3D conformation and in hydrogels with lower elasticity (0.5kPA), PDAC cells produce higher numbers of EVs, compared with cells grown in 2D on classic cell culture plastic.

Lower seroreactivity to European than to North American H3N2 swine influenza viruses in humans, Luxembourg, 2010 [PDF]
Seroreactivity to H3N2 swine influenza viruses (SIVs) was evaluated in serum samples collected from 843 people aged 0 to 100 years in 2010 in Luxembourg.
