Visual and Visual‐Inertial SLAM Based on Enhanced Deep Learning Features and Motion Smoothness Constraints

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A visual and visual‐inertial simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithm, leveraging enhanced deep learning features and motion smoothness constraints, is proposed in this research work. This method retains the advantages of geometry‐based SLAM methods while effectively utilizing the powerful representational capabilities of data‐driven ...

Using theory of change to better address social and economic needs in mental health services

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mental Health Systems
Introduction Social and economic needs are greater in populations living with mental ill-health compared with the general population. However, these needs are often not routinely or adequately assessed in practice, and there is a lack of corresponding ...

A*SLAM: A Dual Fisheye Stereo Edge SLAM

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
This paper proposes an A*SLAM system that features combining two sets of fisheye stereo cameras and taking the image edge as the SLAM features. The dual fisheye stereo camera sets cover the full environmental view of the SLAM system. From each fisheye stereo image pair, a panorama depth image can be directly extracted for initializing the SLAM feature.

ParamNet: A Physics‐Guided Deep Learning Framework for Intelligent Self‐Inversion of Vacuum Optical Levitation Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided deep learning framework, ParamNet, is introduced for the intelligent self‐inversion of vacuum optical tweezers. By fuzing dual‐branch time–frequency features with physical dynamical constraints, it achieves high‐accuracy calibration of trap parameters from short‐window, low‐frequency trajectories, outperforming traditional methods ...

Barriers and Enablers for Effective Support Coordination in the National Disability Insurance Scheme

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Support coordinators act as intermediaries between the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and participants, facilitating access to funded supports. To optimise outcomes, they must navigate NDIS complexities, identify services that meet individual needs and engage with diverse stakeholders.
