Aberrant GRP78 Phase Transition Sustains Endothelial IRE1α Signaling and Drives Blood–Brain Barrier Failure in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular Aβ40 corrupts GRP78 phase behavior in brain endothelial cells, sustaining IRE1α–TRAF2–JNK signaling and driving apoptosis, tight junction loss, and blood–brain barrier failure in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Pharmacological IRE1α inhibition restores vascular integrity, reduces leakage, and improves functional outcomes, revealing a targetable ...

SPEED CONTROL OF PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR USING DIFFERENT STRATEGY OF SLIDING MODE APPROACH [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2017
In order to optimize the speed-control performance of the PMSM system with different disturbances and uncertainties, hybrid nonlinear speed-controls for the PMSM, based sliding-mode control, is developed.

Macrophage PARP7 Alleviates Septic Cardiomyopathy by Interacting With TBK1 and Suppressing TBK1‐Driven Inflammatory Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In septic cardiomyopathy, PARP7 directly binds TBK1 and mediates its ADP‐ribosylation, thereby repressing TBK1‐driven proinflammatory signaling in macrophages. ABSTRACT Septic cardiomyopathy is a life‐threatening complication of sepsis, and an uncontrolled inflammatory response represents a key pathogenic mechanism. PARP7 negatively regulates the IFN‐I

Single‐Nucleus Atlas of Spinal Sarcopenia Patients Reveals Disruption of Quiescent and Regenerative Satellite Cell Niches in Fatty‐Infiltrated Muscle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanisms of Fatty Infiltration and Muscle Degeneration. Clinical metadata identified intramuscular fat accumulation as an independent driver of muscle mass decline. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of spinal sarcopenia muscle revealed adipogenic reprogramming of fibro‐adipogenic progenitors, satellite‐cell niche disruption, and elevated levels of the ...

Discrete-time output feedback sliding-mode control design for uncertain systems using linear matrix inequalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
An output feedback-based sliding-mode control design methodology for discrete-time systems is considered in this article. In previous work, it has been shown that by identifying a minimal set of current and past outputs, an augmented system can be ...

Mapping Embryonic Mouse Lung Development Using Enhanced Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mammalian lung contains ∼50 cell types arranged along the airway epithelium. Here, deterministic barcoding sequencing (DBiT‐seq) is optimized to nearly double transcript recovery, enabling highly sensitive spatial mapping of the embryonic mouse lung.

Inhibition of MEKK3 Prevents Cerebral Cavernous Malformation Progression Via Restoring Endothelial Integrity and Restricting Microglial Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we demonstrate that aberrant MEKK3 signaling in endothelial cells and microglia drives the progression of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs). Furthermore, we identify DPDH as a potent small‐molecule MEKK3 inhibitor with substantial therapeutic potential for CCM treatment.

Optimal Sliding Mode Control for an Active Suspension System Based on a Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2018
In order to improve the dynamic quality of traditional sliding mode control for an active suspension system, an optimal sliding mode control (OSMC) based on a genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed.

Aged ZnO Nanoparticles Promote Breast Cancer Lung Metastasis by Remodeling the Pulmonary Microenvironment Through the CXCL10/Wnt/β‐Catenin Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In summary, pulmonary exposure to ZnO NPs, particularly aged NPs, promotes breast cancer metastasis by remodelling the lung tumour microenvironment. Aged ZnO NPs enrich M2‐macrophages, MDSCs and activated CAFs to form an immunosuppressive metastatic niche. CXCL10 from these cells drives metastasis via Wnt/β‐catenin activation.

Hybrid H-infinity synchronization for uncertain continuous chaotic systems based on digital redesign approach

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2021
In this paper, the design of hybrid H-infinity synchronization control for continuous chaotic systems based on sliding mode control (SMC) is considered. H-infinity discrete sliding mode controllers integrated with the digital redesign approach are newly ...
