We consider a solution in a moving front form of the initial-boundary value problem for a singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion equation in a band with periodic conditions in one of the variables.

A Phase Transition between Small and Large Field Models of Inflation
We show that models of inflection point inflation exhibit a phase transition from a region in parameter space where they are of large field type to a region where they are of small field type.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Stability of CW Solutions of the FDML Laser
The problem of existense and stability of continuous wave (CW) solutions R exp(iΛt) of a Fourier Domain Mode Locking laser model is studied. This model consists of two differential equations with delay. The delay is sufficiently large.

The mathematical models of many processes in physics, astrophysics, chemistry, biology, mechanics and technology are differential and integro-differential equations containing small parameters at the highest derivatives.

Fourier-Mukai transforms for coherent systems on elliptic curves
We determine all the Fourier-Mukai transforms for coherent systems consisting of a vector bundle over an elliptic curve and a subspace of its global sections, showing that these transforms are indexed by the positive integers.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Stability of the Simplest Periodic Solutions in the Stuart–Landau Equation with Large Delay
We study the local dynamics of the Stuart–Landau equation with large delay in the neibourhood of periodic solutions. We find sufficient conditions of instability of periodic solutions and sufficient conditions of their stability.

Collapsing D-branes in one-parameter models and small/large radius duality
We finalize the study of collapsing D-branes in one-parameter models by completing the analysis of the associated hypergeometric hierarchy. This brings further evidence that the phenomenon of collapsing 6-branes at the mirror of the `conifold' point in ...
