Evaluation and Validation of clinical 4.23 T sodium MRI in animals and human: Application of oblique multi-slice spin-echo pulse sequence [PDF]
Objective: Application of high-field 4.23 T MRI clinical imager was demonstrated for sodium-magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data acquisition. Primary hypothesis: Sodium [Na] in brain is MR visible. Secondary hypothesis was, if, application of multislice

Hexagonal boron nitride nanomaterials for biomedical applications
Hexagonal boron nitride nanomaterials are a type of characteristic biomedicine. This review summarizes the recent progress of BN nanometarials in the biomedical applications, including drug delivery, boron neutron capture therapy, bioimaging and nanozyme. The advantages and problems of BN nanomedicines are discussed, and the challenges and perspectives

Effects of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy Using Borocaptate Sodium in Combination with a Tumor‐selective Vasoactive Agent in Mice [PDF]
Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) destroys tumor cells by means of α particles and recoil protons emitted by 10B(n,α)7Li reaction. For BNCT to be effective, the tumor/normal tissue concentration ratio of 10B must be larger than 1.0, because neutron distribution is not selective.

Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) presents a persistent challenge to conventional therapeutic approaches. SLC12A5 is implicated in an oncogenic capacity and facilitates the progression of cancer. The objective of this investigation is to scrutinize the inhibitory effects of borax on endoplasmic reticulum (ER)‐stress and apoptosis mediated by ...

Borax induces ferroptosis of glioblastoma by targeting HSPA5/NRF2/GPx4/GSH pathways
Abstract Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a highly aggressive and lethal form of primary brain tumour. Borax has been demonstrated to exhibit anti‐cancer activity through cell death pathways. However, the specific impact of borax on ferroptosis in GBM is not well‐established, and the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain unclear.
