Sustainable software design with design patterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Researchers in software engineering and information engineering have been struggling to modernize software life-cycle processes and to improve the quality of software. Recently, several methodologies and organizational changes have been put forward to improve systematic software specification and reuse.

Combining Structural Features and Software Metrics for Automated Design Pattern Detection

open access: yesIEEE Access
Design patterns provide reusable solutions to recurring software design problems. Since their introduction by the Gang of Four in 1994, identifying these patterns in object-oriented programs has remained a challenging task, particularly with regard to ...

Implementation Support of Security Design Patterns Using Test Templates

open access: yesInformation, 2016
Security patterns are intended to support software developers as the patterns encapsulate security expert knowledge. However, these patterns may be inappropriately applied because most developers are not security experts, leading to threats and ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Software Design Guidelines for Usability

open access: yes, 2011
For years, the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) community has crafted usability guidelines that clearly define what characteristics a software system should have in order to be easy to use.

Using design patterns for software development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
An effective way to solve problems in software design is to use software templates. It is known that the template is not a finished sample that we can translate into program code.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Software patterns to improve knowledge transfer: an experiment. [PDF]

open access: yes
Patterns for software development have been a hot topic for some time within the object-oriented community. Patterns are part of a software engineering problem-solving discipline. It all started with Design Patterns [11], but gradually patterns were used

Redocumentation through design pattern recovery:: an investigation and an implementation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In this thesis, two methods are developed in an aid to help users capture valuable design information and knowledge and reuse them. They are the design pattern recovery (DPR) method and pattern-based redocumentation (PBR) method.
