Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Design of neurophysiological signal analysis software [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Recenti sviluppi tecnologici permettono registrazioni sempre più accurate dell’attività neuronale. Diversi laboratori hanno sviluppato programmi per l’analisi di tali dati, ma tuttora non esiste alcun software che fornisca un supporto completo per l ...

Pattern-Oriented Reengineering of a Network System [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, 2004
Reengineering is to reorganize and modify existing systems to enhance them or to make them more maintainable. Reengineering is usually necessary as systems evolve due to changes in requirements, technologies, and/or personnel.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

LEPATTERN - UMA FERRAMENTA PARA ENSINO DE PADRÕES DE PROJETO: IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DOS PADRÕES STRATEGY E FACADE.

open access: yesColloquium Exactarum, 2016
- Design patterns are applied to reuse standardized software solutions to solve common problems. However, there is still an obstacle: the difficulty in learning about design pattern and the lack of knowledge of the involved designers.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

2018 ACM/IEEE International Workshop on Software Fairness: Fairware (ACM 2018)

open access: yes, 2018
Software Design Patterns (SDPs) are core solutions to the recurring problems in software. However, adopting SDPs without taking into account their value implications may result in breach of social values and ultimately lead to user dissatisfaction, lack ...

Microservices Patterns Recommendation based on Information Retrieval [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Universal Computer Science
Software developers encounter recurring problems during software development, which can be solved using proven solutions known as design patterns. Microservices architecture, a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) variant, presents common communication ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

PatEvol – A pattern language for evolution in component-based software architectures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Modern software systems are prone to a continuous evolution under frequently varying requirements. Architecture-centric software evolution (ACSE) enables change in system structure and behavior while maintaining a global view of software to address ...
