Artificial Modulation of the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Kinetics via Control of Grain Boundaries Density in Mo2C Through Laser Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A laser‐driven strategy enables precise microstructural modulation of Mo₂C, achieving nanoscale grain control (15.6 ± 5 nm) and an ultrahigh grain boundary density (130 µm−1). Moreover, high‐angle grain boundaries enhance active sites, facilitate electron transport, and optimize hydrogen adsorption kinetics, significantly reducing overpotential.

Minuscule Amounts of Pt Single Atoms Selectively Loaded on Minor (101) Facet of Anatase Crystallites Enables Outstanding Utilization Efficiency for Photocatalytic H2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ar–H2 annealing triggers redistribution of pre‐deposited Pt single atoms (SAs) on faceted anatase nanosheets, with selective SAs accumulation on the minor (101) facetsthus the co‐catalytic SA‐sites are positioned only where they are needed, i.e. at the electron exit facets.

Over 18% Efficiency from Halogen‐Free Solvent‐Processed Polymer Solar Cells Enabled by Asymmetric Small Molecule Acceptors with Fluoro‐Thienyl Extended Terminal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.

All‐Cellulose‐Based Photonic Glitters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform, disc‐shaped photonic CNC glitters with adjustable structural colors and diameters are fabricated on hydrophilic ethyl cellulose films using electrospray deposition. By employing patterned ethyl cellulose films with pre‐designed hydrophilic regions, photonic patterns can be created with these all‐cellulose‐based glitters, demonstrating their ...

Solid phase synthesis of praziquantel [PDF]

open access: possibleTetrahedron Letters, 2006
The first solid phase synthesis of the important anthelmintic praziquantel is described. The synthesis is rapid and efficient. The method may be extended to the synthesis of libraries of urgently needed replacements for this drug.

Solid phase synthesis of oligosaccharides

Tetrahedron Letters, 1996
Abstract An efficient and stereocontrolled solid-phase chemical synthesis of oligosaccarides using a new type of insoluble support (a copolymer of polyethylene glycol and polystyrene) is described. Several Lewis acids were tested as activators of the trichloroacetimidate 12 , used as glycosyl donor, in the dimer 13 formation.

Solid phase synthesis of benzimidazolones

Tetrahedron Letters, 1996
Abstract An efficient solid phase synthesis of benzimidazoles is described. Polymer bound o-fluoronitroaromatic compound 2 was treated with an amine to give o-nitroaniline derivative 3 . Reduction of 3 with NaBH 4 Cu(acac) 2 followed by cyclization with an aryl imidate and cleavage with TFA gave 5 .
